This is the second book in the Sweet Mountain Billionaires and it picks up a couple of months after book #1, The Jaded Billionaire ends. Tonya Fielding has recently moved to Greendale, Montana to start a town newspaper, the Greendale Gazette, with her best friend, Lily, who moved to Greendale a couple of months ago. She also lives at Ruby's Pinecrest Lodge campground and she, Ethan and Lily are still trying to find evidence that Carter Pittman, who owns the adjacent property is behind the vandalism to Ruby's campgrounds.
Enter undercover DEA agent Brandon Denton, who's trying to bust a large marijuana ring in Butte that seems to have a connection to the small town of Greendale. Brandon (aka Brady) plans to get a job to fit it with the locals for the next few weeks but when he saves Mrs. Plum from being run over Tonya wants to do a local hero piece on him for the newspaper. When Tonya tells him they're trying to find evidence that Carter Pittman is behind the sabotage at Pinecrest Lodge he decides to help her since Pittman is also his #1 suspect as the source of the marijuana. I'm sure the fact that he has a thing for redheads and Tonya just happens to have red hair doesn't have anything to do with it. (wink, wink)
I liked the new character Brandon and the reason he was in town to find the source of drugs was believable. I liked that characters from the first book--Lily, Ethan, Jake (the sheriff), Ruby and even Wookie--are also in this one. I liked Tonya and how much she enjoyed her work--finding ordinary people to write about. I understood her need to prove herself because her brother was wealthy and she wanted to do something without his help, but I didn't like how she seemed so insecure in the last couple of chapters when she keeps saying she's ordinary and unnoticeable. Earlier in the book she didn't strike me as someone that insecure. I'm looking forward to next book to find out if the gang is any closer to catching the saboteur.

Billionaire Backlash is the second book in the Sweet Mountain Billionaires series by Jill Snow and Annie Dobbs. In this book we find Tonya Fielding settling into her new life as the co-owner and reporter for the new newspaper in a small town in Montana. When she find out that someone is sabotaging the campground (something we learned in book one), she sees an opportunity to finally do something extraordinary. She does not have love on her mind until Brandon Denton comes along. Brandon is a new comer in town also, his job as undercover DEA agent is to catch the leader of a drug ring right in this small town. Tonya and Brandon team up to find the saboteur and drug leader but he cannot disclose his true identity.
What we have here is a great romance with a great mystery full of excitement. This book can be read as a standalone book, but book one "Jaded Billionaire" is also such a great read I also recommend reading that book.

May 15, 2018The main characters in this story are Tonya Fielding and Brady Hawking. Tonya is a newspaper reporter and co-founder of the Greendale Gazette. Brady is an undercover DEA agent. He is looking for the supplier of the weed that was being sold in Butte.
Tonya is looking to prove Pittman is sabotaging Ruby’s campground in hopes of running her out of business and buying the property dirt-cheap.
Tonya goes on Pittman’s property knowing he will shoot her for the proof of the pot farm. If Brady hadn’t followed her she would have been shot. After being arrested for trespassing…
Jill and Annie are both exceptional writers and can put together a story that can’t be put down. Read this book. It is a five star book.

The second book has Lily Ryder, bringing her best friend, Tonya Fielding, to Greendale, Montana, to start the new Greendale newspaper. The two of them have become partners to show Tonya's billiionaire brother, they can do something on their own. Tonya just wants to prove that she can do something extraordinary on her own. Ethan Thomas, Lily's billionaire boyfriend, from the first book, is expecting a friend to show up to help him with his new Search and Rescue business.
Instead, a DEA agent, Brandon Denton, shows up to locate a pot distributor that is the supplier for a ring in Butte. He uses the name Brady Hawking as a cover. His first act of heroism is saving the elderly Mrs. Plum from being ran over by the spoiled son of Carter Pittman, Jason Pittman. Tonya, being the expert reporter, tries to convince Brandon to do an interview for the first edition of the paper.
He is going to stay at Ruby Burrows "magical" Pinecrest Lodge, nestled in the mountains. Ruby places him in the cabin next to Tonya.

While I enjoyed the romance and mystery plus the tie in with the previous story I have to say the title bugs me as Brady is not a Billionaire to me for cohesiveness in a series if your entitling the series Sweet Mountain Billionaires then at least one of the main characters should be a billionaire or the title and the story don't make sense and it really bugged me throughout the book but aside from that I enjoyed Brady and Tonya's story.

Great second book in this series! Ruby's campground fosters another relationship (DEA undercover agent falls for journalist) amid threats from a neighbor who is not only vandalizing her business, but also growing pot and supplying dealers in nearby Butte. If only they could prove it! Good story. Fun read!

Cabin Complications
This was yet another great read that's sure to please. A small town mystery of drugs and sabotaging a sweet old ladies beloved campgrounds and a new man is in town is he on the up an up or something else. I guess you'll have to get a copy. Enjoy.
