Shawn and Evelyn have a love story that is before Shawn is sent to Afghanistan. While in Afghanistan Shawn is hurt and considered MIA and Evelyn is suppose to consider him dead after 7 years. But she just can't do it. He is the love of her life and can't get over him. Shawn's friend James is trying to help Evelyn get over him but he just can't seem to get over her walls.
But Shawn isn't dead, he is in America now but can't remember anything. He has a feeling of a woman in his life but can't see her clearly.
In my personal opinion, I am not big on amnesia stories and you have an almost second chance on top of it so it already has two shots against it. BUT the story is pretty good and I did finish it, so I did give it four stars. While it was around 3.75 in stars.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

Shawn is injured whilst serving in Afghanistan and has the face of a beautiful woman in his thoughts all the time but he doesn't know who she is at all. But he wants to find her! That was seven years ago but he's now back in the USA and wanting to find answers as he still doesn't have his memory back. Meanwhile, Evelyn has been proposed to on TV by James, her MIA husband's best friend, who tells her and her son, Tanner, that Shawn would want her to move on with her life. Much as Evy still feels in her heart that Shawn is still alive she reluctantly agrees to help tanner. Shawn sees the beautiful woman on TV and knows he must speak to her. He discovers where she lives and rings the doorbell. Imagine Evy's surprise when she opens her front door and there stands her husband who was supposedly dead!! Vivien Vale is an author whose books I love to read and enjoy whilst Liz K. Lorde, is a new author to me. So when I got a copy of this to read I was very happy. The storyline is really good and believable. The characters, Evy, Shawn, Tanner and James is, shall we say 'interesting'! The sizzling chemistry between Evy and Shawn cannot be denied and you will need your fans switched on to max cool. But since he's been away for seven years and didn't even know he had a child when he left, he has a great deal to catch up on. Will he and Evy get back together as he is still her husband and father to her child? What about his 'best' friend James? There are secrets and devious dealings going on and they all help build up the tension in this fabulous story. Liz and Vivien certainly make a terrific team at writing and certainly have a winning book in 'Make Me A Mommy' and I look forward to reading more books by them both in the near future!

WHEN THE DUST SETTLES WHO WILL BE LEFT STANDING!!!
Man, let me tell you that these two authors knocked this one out of the park. If you're looking for a fast paced, action packed, heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, smooth flowing read that captures your attention from the start. Congratulations my friends you've found it. The characters were intriguing and complex with all the chrisma you'd expect. What I didn't expect was to be so caught off guard. I've read my share and someone else's books and I never thought I could be as thunderstruck as I was. The scenes were vividly detailed and descriptive that I felt I was a part of the tale not on the sidlines reading it. Twists, turns and unexpected surprises abound in this little jewel that keeps your attention on the pages and on the edge of your seat. Following the characters along I was mesmerized as their personalities transformed and started to shine through. The two main characters chemistry was electrifying, white hot off the charts and explosive. It was something to be so caught up in this strong storyline that draws you deeper into the plot. I was so immersed in this tale I couldn't have put it down had I any intention to do so. Yeah, not in this lifetime. Liz and Vivien definitely brought their A-Game for this little treasure, with what seems to be an endless imagination and a gift for weaving a world around you until everything else disappears except whats happening next in this page turning masterpiece that I was somehow lucky enough to get. Phenomenal job Liz and Vivian, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

Shawn is in the military and gets hurt on a mission. Shawn has no memory of what his life was so he moves on with what he does know. Seven years later he sees the face of a beautiful woman that haunts his dreams on tv and immediately knows he needs to find her. Evelyn is trying to move on from her loss and accepts a proposal from James and is just starting to plan their wedding when a knock on her door changes everything. Evelyn can't believe it just when she finally convinced herself to move on she finds her husband standing on her front porch. Shawn just wants answers but will he find more than he bargained for when he enters the house?
This was an amazing story with a few twists and turns before everything sorts itself out. The chemistry between Shawn and Evelyn is blazing hot. These authors know how to really draw their readers into their stories. I can't wait to read more from them in the future. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to anyone that would love to lose themselves in an amazing story.

Well now! This storyline certainly grabbed my attention!
How? It was interesting; the heavy-hearted, soul-searching plot was one I eagerly wanted to sink my teeth into, thinking it would go one way but finding it went a little bit in circles.
While that is not necessarily a bad thing, bringing to light Evelyn and Shawn past, and how James played a roll in all of it.
I was surprised, and quite honestly frustrated with the emotions expressed when reunions, explanations, and decisions are being made. Of course, this is just my humble reader opinion.
Sexual tension galore, with a lot of love and hope, weaved into the pages of the dark edges of this widely unique read!
Detailed characters, with much to offer the reader, they keep the storyline moving along at a steady pace.

One of the most intense roller coaster rides I have read this year!!!! This story gave me the chills the good kind.
When you read the title you are not expecting at all what happens in this story
Shawn was in the military and gets hurts.
His injuries cause amnesia. He goes on with his life and years later he sees a lady on tv and its like a missing piece to a puzzle. He has to see her.
Evelyn lost her husband or so she thinks when she finally decides to move on a marry another man her husband appears at her doorstep. The crazy thing is the man Evelyn is marrying was once Shawn's friend and comrade. I don't see why Evelyn wants to marry him when she doesn't even want to kiss him and there's one small problem she is still married to Shawn.
This story will pull you in from the beginning until the very end.

Awesome contemporary military romance. Shawn was a soldier and during his time in Afghanistan he’s severely wounded. At home his wife Evelyn never gave up hope but his best friend James wanted to take Shawn’s place. Evelyn has resisted James advances for years. During this time Shawn has always dreamed of a woman but he has no memory from his past until he sees her on television. He shows up after seven years on her doorstep. The author did an excellent job of drawing the reader into the story. There is intrigue and suspense as well as action. I highly recommend this book. I received a complementary copy of this book but chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

War is so hard on the people who serve, but also on the loved ones that are left at home. My heart broke for Shawn, Evelyn and their son Tanner. She has stayed strong in her heart, knowing that Shawn, considered MIA in Afghanistan, is still alive. Shawn has amnesia though, and cannot remember the women he sees in his dreams until he sees Evelyn on TV with James, a friend of his, pressing her to move on with him. He's not long waiting before he shows up on her door to reclaim their love. She shares their pas with him, Tanner, and it's a journey as memories start to come back. James is a question mark. I was fascinated by Shawn and Evelyn, and it's so sweet with Tanner. I highly recommend and enjoyed this excellent read. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

This is an outstanding book that I will not forget for a while!!! Its well written, the characters will endear them selves to you and the story will have you on the edge of your seat from page one.

An amazing and emotional book about a love that never died. Shawn had amnesia after an accident in Afghanistan. Darn you Liz Lourde and Vivian Vale for making me cry!! This story was heartwarming yet heart wrenching at the same time. Such confusion, loss, devastation and joy bring this book to life. There were times that I really was crying and others that I laughed. I absolutely LOVED this book. I feel it is a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This story was so intense! I can't imagine what it would be like not to know anything and then on top of that to have a picture of someone in your head but not know who it is it what they mean!! This was such a great story because I think the authors took you thru all the emotions possible in that situation on both sides! And the bad guy.....I yelled at my book at time or two because of course Shawn didn't know who he was. Very entertaining, thank you ladies! I highly recommended this book!

A love story that didn’t disappoint.
A sweet and loving romance story that will have you flipping the page to find out what happens to Shawn and Evelyn. He was lost, but she never gave up and when the truth comes out hell knows no fury when he realized all the time he has missed because of one person. You don’t want to miss the mystery that is filled with this love story that didn’t disappoint.

Shawn lost his memory fighting in Afghanistan. He keeps seeing a woman in his dreams and is shocked to see her getting proposed to. Evelyn has been trying to move forward with her life but could never truly let go of Shawn. What will happen when he shows up on her doorstep. This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and emotion. I really liked the characters and the story really takes you on a roller coaster ride. I really liked it.

Engaging and suspenseful, this book grabs and keeps your interest and keeps you turning pages as quickly as you can. Over the top drama and emotional turmoil fuel this poignant read. At it's core it is a beautiful love lost and then found romance. With secrets, lies, and a painful betrayal clouding their path, Shawn and Evelyn's road to a HEA is no easy trip. I'm posting a completely honest, voluntary review.

Make Me A Mommy is second chance romance between Shawn and Evelyn. This book is drama filled from beginning to end. It’s hard to believe the thought process and then the action behind those thoughts by James. Shawn and Evelyn are both strong, amazing and resilient. They’re undying love and passion for each other overcame the hardships and loss they suffered. I very emotional read. I received this book for voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

I really like the plot of this story. The writing was engaging and kept my attention as soon as I started. Im not giving 5 stars because I did have a couple issues with how certain things unfolded. I found parts pretty hard to believe because I have some military knowledge and it rubs me the wrong way if things are too far fetched. Otherwise, I reccomend this book! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed overall!

Shawn was injured while in Afghanistan now has amnesia. He keeps having dreams about a mystery woman but can't remember anything. When he sees a picture about a wedding announcement he knows he has to meet her. Evelyn kept hoping that Shawn was still alive but after 7 years of waiting and hoping Shawn's best friend convinces her to marry him. After agreeing Shawn shows back up. This is the perfect book to give any mother and to any wife whose husband is overseas serving. The book gave me chills that lasted long after I read the book and a major case of tears as I was reading. This story really hit close to home for me and it brought up a lot of painful memories but good memories also. These two authors made magic happen and I really look forward to more from them.

Loved this story. A unique twist is always welcome for this reader. I really enjoyed this book. It had some sweet moments and some very steamy ones too. Shawn and Evy have been separated for seven years. What happens when Shawn suddenly appears at her door? Can they come to terms with the past and move on or will everything fall apart? A fantastic read!!!

A story that is well written and has a nice storyline and plot. Characters are likeable and well described.
The mix of drama, secrets, lies, emotions, trust, memoryloss and twists makes this story an amazing read. It is a bit different than other second chance romances and I like that about it.
I would have like the ending to have an epilogue to round the story off.

When I started reading I couldn't put it down I read the book in one day.Viven Vale and Liz K Lorde are magnifysent writers.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work.You should definitely read this book.
