Good book. Takes a similar approach to me to OT Theology in this book: focusing more on method and introducing the reader to examples of using that method on the OT. He also takes the humble approach of having other scholars critique his work and including that in the book! Includes fresh OT theology themes like hope, spirituality, and food, land, and justice. also does theology of whole books or sections. And theology from one passage. He's a little too pluralistic for me, but I love the approach.
Interesting proposal for OT Theology. If you are looking for a book to introduce you to how OT Theology is done within critical scholarship, this may be it. The organization of the text itself is a little haphazard. Perhaps that's the point.
