SPOILER ALERT
This is the second part of the trilogy.
Rose and Lacey go to Roses dad for help. He gives them an address for a safe house. They hideout in cabin in woods, he also sends someone to help them, Nix.
Sven and the boss catches up with them leaving the cabin. Lacey goes back with Boss so that Nix and Rose can be safe. Roses dad has blackmailed Nix, as one of his men is holding Nix girlfriend, Sage.
What Rose doesn't know is that Nix is her brother.
Nix and Rose realise they need Sven and the boss to help free Sage.
Lacey and Boss are taking their time slowly to build their relationship. Boss gets Lacey a personal trainer as she wants to be able to protect herself.
Rose receives several texts showing pictures of her old work colleague Kev being held captive and she realises her Dad is threatening her. She decides she needs to save Kev.
I love the way the two couples stories intertwine. I hope we get a book for Nix and Sage story too.

Hummmm
Not sure again what I think about this, but again I will be reading the next one.
Lacey truly disturbs me in so many ways. I don’t understand her mind set when it comes to the Boss/Adam. I just don’t get how you can have feelings for someone that had you beaten multiple times and gave you to his enemies to be tortured and raped multiple times. I can’t reason it at all.
Rose became really annoying and I wanted to slap her repeatedly. Her mind set was totally unfathomable too. Pollyanna to the core and so blind to what is going on around her.
I really liked Nix, I hope we get more on him!
There are typos. Good read, I guess.

Wow!! What a great book...this book went beyond my expectations I'm not going to lie...when I read the blurb for the first book I thought they would be a pretty decent read..what you get is so much more....the author in my opinion is a very talented author, as she tells her story you come to realize that it's not just one story, it's actually 2 stories that pertains to 4 different but still all main characters of the book...most authors write a different book for the main characters now days and to read this when it is as well written as it is, makes it so interesting...there is no place in the book where things get a little boring or the story gets a little flat/stale...it's been a while since I've read a book that flowed so easily...great job Bry Ann!! Can't wait for more..

Another emotional rollercoaster!!
Bry Ann has reduced me to a blubbering idiot yet again! The emotions are so real and raw and I love the chemistry between all of the characters.
I get so involved, I actually felt a wave in my legs when Rose fell on her knees outside the Motel! But that ending!?! Wow!!! I really didn't expect that! Nothing more to say other than......straight on to book 3!

This is the sequel to Roses & Thorns! It will be out May 29th. The pre-order is officially live on Amazon. I really think you guys are going to enjoy this one. I cannot wait for you to read it!

Just finished Book 4 so this review is quite raw.
Rose. Sheltered , naive, hiding from her past, barely living in the present.
Sven. Underboss, complex, also hiding from his past, determined to take control.
Rose meets Sven, a patient where she works and he immediately gets under her skin.
Sven takes what he wants and he wants Rose.
You'd think this story was about Rose and Sven. But before you know it, Lacey and Boss swoop in and steal this story out from under them.
A Mafia boss, his Underboss and 2 women who have fallen into the Mafia world...what could go wrong?
Honestly, this story started as Rose and Sven's story. But it quickly shifted to Boss and Lacey's story. They were by far the stronger characters. They had depth, emotion, character. I've gotta say though, that every character went through growth and change, except IMO Rose. Other characters grew themselves but also through their relationships with others.
Great series! Unique! *Most* characters were great. Wasn't like anything I'd read before. There were a few holes to the story or like seeds planted that nothing ever eventuated...so that's confusing. But could be that these get addressed in other books about different characters from this universe.

Nooooo! I am crushed! Dang it woman, you are killing me here!
The women in Roses & Thorns: Women are very strong and can be very dangerous when they are hurt, or someone they love is hurt or crossed. They are the perfect partner for the men they are with in Roses & Thorns. Boss and Sven are dangerous men who rule their world. Boss is the head of the mafia and Sven is his Underboss, second in command. These men will kill or destroy their enemy without a second thought, that is until they meet Lacey and Rose. Then we see the vulnerable side of them both.
Sven kidnapped Rose in Roses & Thorns because she wanted to be his. After she left him and was on the run for short time, he realized that he would do anything to get her back in his life and his bed. Rose was a tech at a mental facility where Sven met her, when he was a patient. She lives for her work and has a habit of not eating. The only person who can get her to eat is Sven. Rose is a woman who thrives on helping others. She is a soft hearted woman who feels that she has to make up for her father's sins.
Lacey is a woman who has been used for most of her life. Boss has a soft spot for her and would do anything to heal her and make her better. He knows he is the reason for most of the pain she has received. He is now trying to make up for it. She brings out the good part of him, but he's worried it will destroy him.
I am loving this series, but was crushed at the end of Roses & Thorns: Women. There better be a surprise in the next books. I don't mind a cliff hanger, but dang it. This one was devastating.
If you like a dark romance, with strong characters, I would highly recommend this series. I was in tears reading this story. I give Roses & Thorns: Women a 4.5 star review.

This is book two in a trilogy series and cannot and should not be read as a standalone. In this story we get a greater understanding of both the characters and their motivations and psyches. The story revolves around four characters (two couples) and we revisit “old” characters and get introduced to new ones.
This story takes off right where book one left off. The action begins from the instant you open this book and doesn’t let up. This book is dark with angst and action. I loved the interactions between Rose, Lacy, Nix, The Boss and Sven. The lust and passion can be felt but so can the anger and resentment. There is so much to this plot that it sucks you in and you are constantly guessing what is going to happen next all while flipping the pages like your life depends on it. This author has a way with her writing that is both suspenseful and full of action, but contains mystery and hunger.
The women are strong and vehement. They know when to stand up to the men and when to be smart and let them lead. I loved the way they supported each other and were strong and independent but also were so much more when the men were there. It was like the perfect balance in their characters. I really enjoyed reading how each of the women dealt with their situation in a unique way with a strong spine. I also loved that they were vulnerable (just like the men).
This does end in a cliffhanger, and book three will be released soon. I am waiting with bated breath to see how this story concludes! I had the privilege to received and ARC and am leaving an honest review.

The ROSES & THORNS Series is one of my new favorites....It’s a dark story....And none of these couples have had easy lives, but Adam, Lacey, Sven and Rose have fought and scratched their way through life....and have maybe found love....❤️🌼🔥
Mob Underboss, Sven, meets Rose, a workaholic, mental hospital tech, when he manipulates the court system into accepting his plea of insanity, so, instead of prison, he can be placed in the mental facility where Rose practically lives....And once Sven, sees her, neither of their lives will ever be the same.......❤️🌼🔥
The relationship between Mob Boss, Adam and his prisoner, Lacey is the most interesting to me....Lacey’s life has been horrendous, and Adam has had a part in making her life so bad, but Lacey is a bada$$, and love blooms in weird situations, sometimes.....❤️🌼🔥

This is book 2 in the series. You need to read book one first.
The story begins where we left book one, the girls run away...I won’t tell more so I don’t spoil it.
Anyhow. This book was just perfect. I loved how both Lacey and Rose are strong for each other and stronger when there are reunited with Sven and Adam (aka the boss).
All characters have grown and I loved it. I went by so many emotions while reading the story.
New characters added and I want to know what will happen to them. They fit perfectly into the story.
I couldn’t put the book down, and I think I have cried - ok I cried for sure like big tears - and I nearly thrown my kindle with the twist!!!!!
Come on Bry, how can you do that!
I need book 3 like yesterday ha!

4 stars only due to editing
I spoke to the author after I read the 1st book and found a cliffhanger. So I found out how many books there were and have waited as tomorrow is the last one. The story is really good and I love the characters but you really need a good editor! Many sentences that don't make sense and typos! Review would be 5 stars if it was exited properly! Nice thing about electronic file is they can be fixed an reloaded to Amazon!
