Higher Lessons in English

Rate this book
Higher Lessons in English is a classic English language arts text by Alonzo Reed and Braiderd Kellogg. The plan of "Higher Lessons" will perhaps be better understood if we first speak of two classes of text-books with which this work is brought into competition.

Old and Dull

This book is old, technical, dull, lacking an answer key and covers grammar at a level that will have you remembering your Latin class. If you like grammar, this is a good book...without an answer key. Not worth it.
