Race is released from Huntsville Prison and tries to resume his relationship with Annie right where they left off six years earlier. With his old club trying to eliminate him, Race launches a vendetta against the man who has taken his place. Annie tries to help the father of her son and Quantrall Investigations follows her to Vegas to protect her.
Another main character is introduced into this storyline. Race, finally released from prison, is staying with Anne, mother of Blaine who is partner and part owner of Quantrall Investigations. Race was previously President of one of the most feared and vicious motorcycle clubs. He had been betrayed by some of the MC Club members so while in prison he spent his time plotting his revenge. A very intense and suspenseful drama.
Remarkably well written series, full of suspense, drama, twists and turns to make for a fun read. I'm enjoying the trip through Texas with a group of good friends.
These books just get better and better. The characters are so well written and believable. Annie is a force of nature but in the end she’s only human. Dangerous exciting times for Annie and the boys.
Race is getting out of jail and his one focus is Annie. Meanwhile things are moving forward finally for Annie. That is until Race appears and all hell breaks loose.
Race was quite the page turner and was the best of the Q-File P.I. series I’ve read so far. There was lots of action, broken hearts and less partying than previous books in the series.
If you are looking for a great Series to read, then do not pass this one up. I really thought I had Race figured out but as usual Carolina Mac has a terrific ability to keep you guessing and entranced in her stories. I have been up all night reading and I have tears running down my face.
