Foi uma história divertida e foi um alívio ver o comportamento de alguns personagens no meio do egoísmo de tantos outros.

Ik moet eerlijk bekennen dat ik moeite heb met boeken waarin het over de kinderarbeid gaat. Daarom had ik ook moeite met deze deel van de Marsupilami reeks.
In dit deel worden straat schoffies opgepakt en meegenomen naar een luguber goudzoekers kamp waarin zij moeten met behulp van kwik goud uit de rivier modder delven.
Dit overkomt ook Sololito een straatschoffie met Indiaans bloed een telg van Trumps geslacht die per ongeluk po de verkeerde tijd op de verkeerde plaats was.
Hij krijgt van Solorito bijnaam Dikkertje in Spaans.
Beide jongen ontsnappen uit de kamp en hier begint de echte avontuur.
Gelukkig zijn familie Marsu en Noe een circus artiest, amateur dierenarts en alleskunner op hun plaats om een helpende handje ( Een staart in de geval van Marsupilami ) te kunnen bidden
Opnieuw ik heb moeite met kinder arbeid, maar werken Solorito en Dikkertje niet zo lang en de slechteriken duo die hun achtervolgd is een stelletje klunzen die het is lachen geblazen.
Dit keer is niet de illegale houtkap de hoofdthema maar stelselmatige illegale rivier vervuiling en de Kwik als een zeer gevaarlijke spul.

Boavista'da kimsesiz çocukları kaçırıp kaçak altın arayıcılığı yapan bir çete var. Bir zengin çocuğu da hasbelkader kaçırılanlar arasında, adı da nedense Donald Trump.
Küçük Trump, Solorio adında siyahi bir başka çocukla birlikte çetenin elinden kaçmayı başarıyor. Hem de bir torba dolusu altınla.
Çete peşlerine düşüyor, Marsupilami çocukları korumak için dahil oluyor.

Liked, but not loved. Marsu is de held van de dag, wat leuk is om te zien. Goed dat er wat aandacht wordt besteed aan klimaatzaken. Het eerste boekje waarop nog een vervolg is. Ik ben benieuwd.

Best Marsupilami story so far and it's not even really over yet, since the next album is a follow up to this one.

Although these books aren't illustrated or written by the Marsupilami creator, Franquin, I do find that Batem's artwork utterly captures Franquin's frantic, frenetic energy. And, let's face it, that's what we want. Strong visual humour, great characters, and panel by panel storytelling that drives the narrative forward are what make these books so engaging.
Sometimes the stories are daft, and sometimes they have something greater to say. This one is of the latter, featuring child kidnapping, exploitation and illegal mining. So, weighty topics by any standard. You could argue those aren't suited to a book aimed at a family audience, but the book doesn't trivialise or make light of them. Instead, they form the backbone of a story about courage and hope that perfectly balances the thrills with the humour.
Had they been written slightly differently and the Marsupilami himself could have been dispensed with – the book's themes and the children's struggles do almost all the heavy lifting. But, of course, if you do that, then the slapstick quota just wouldn't be fulfilled. After all, who else is going to take out the baddie holding an assault rifle in such a stylish manner?
With clever wordplay as well, this is engaging, smart, and has something to say – but best of all it's fun. It was books like these, when I was a child, that I'd make a beeline for when we went to my local library, and they inspired me to write and draw. Cartoon-based books offer so much engagement, and I'd really like to see more books like this in libraries and school libraries to help inspire another generation of readers.
