Return of the Monster! The life and times of the green goliath
In 1962, he was created by exposure to gamma radiation in Incredible Hulk No. 1. Though it took a few years for him to develop his now-famous personality, he was nonetheless a weapon of destruction from that first appearance. Not only did the Hulk fight anyone who got in his way, but his alter ego, Bruce Banner , fought the multiple personality disorder that transformed him, spawning many other versions of the Hulk, each of whom were aspects of Bruce’s personality. Despite that, the Hulk took down the Leader, the Abomination, and Wolverine, among hundreds of other great villains. The star of a smash-hit TV show, two blockbuster movies, and hundreds of great comics, he’s one of the most instantly recognizable characters in the world . With 192 pages of images, and text by Roy Thomas, The Little Book of the Hulk will be an indispensable guide to comics’ most savage hero

A HERO WITH ANGER ISSUES!
This “Little Book of” isn’t as little as you may think. Certainly it’s small (in the sense that it’s 5” x 7”) BUT it’s 192 pages long! Where you can appreciate the impact of The Hulk, inside and outside the comic books, through a visual-and-text journey.
This an European-licensed product which begins with a prose introduction “What's Extraordinary about Hulk?” presented in three languages: Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
After that, you start an unstoppable tour, divides per ages (Silver, Bronze, and Modern) about many of the main highlights in comic books but also its media appearances in TV & Films, both live-action and animated.
I enjoyed quite a bit this book since my knowledge about The Hulk is kinda limited since I haven't read many comic book about him, therefore, this book allowed me to get deeper as never before in certain storylines and iconic covers focused on The Hulk.
But, even the book didn't limit on just him, but also, there are several pages dedicated them to his famous cousin, She-Hulk, so that was a wonderful unexpected bonus.
Obviously, with characters like The Hulk, even in 192 pages, you can’t cover everything, but honestly due its cheap price, you can’t ask of something as good as what you get here.
I thought I had a brought a historical romance on my trip and this was meant as just a cute option to distract me in the road. But… I did not notice the historical romance I brought I had already read. And I was not in the mood for the Russian classic that also made the trip. So Hulk it was.
While there’s no way to consider this a comprehensive look at the history of ol’ Jade Jaws, you do get lots of breezy informative capsules of text accompanying covers, interior pages, toys, the television series, movies and a special look at the late Herb Trimpe. A lot of meat in a very small container that makes a great gift for Hulk fans and new readers of the series.
