The History of the English Bible
Many have studied the grand history contained in the Bible. Not many are aware of the history of the Bible itself. Did you realize there were several English Bibles in print before the famed King James Version appeared in 1611? Did you know the Pilgrims brought their Bibles with them in 1620 but none of them carried the King James Version? Many individuals gave their lives to ensure that we would be able to read the Bible in the English language today. It is good to learn their story and of God's great work to spread his Holy Word over all the earth.
