Fright Squad #2

The Monster Games

Rate this book
Welcome to the Monster Games.

Try not to die.

Fright Squad is broke. Since departing from BEAST, Abe, Zack, and Maddie just aren’t getting the jobs they need, and the jobs they do get don’t pay very well. Pretty soon, they know they’ll have to close up shop and go crawling back to BEAST for their old jobs.

That is, until they’re visited by Fizzler, a giant swamp creature from a peaceful race of monsters called gaslings, who gives them a proposition. If the Fright Squad takes the gaslings’ spot in the Monster Games and wins, they’ll not only save the creatures’ race from certain extinction but they’ll receive their weight in gold, too.

The problem: No human that competes in the Monster Games ever lives to tell about it.

Packed with lovable characters, rip-roaring action, and a foul-mouthed mermaid, Fright Squad 2: The Monster Games is the hilarious next part in this comedic-horror adventure series by Flint Maxwell.

The Monster Games (Fright Squad Book 2) by Flint Maxwell is a book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is another funny story with lots of dry humor, crazy creatures and situations, a lovable goblin, and several giggle moments. The Fright Squad normally chases monsters but they have a good heart and know not all monsters are really a monster. So when a strange creature is found in their apartment and asking for help, they give in even if it could mean death! A fun and enjoyable read!

Great fun!

Great story with no deep meaning or moral message. Just monsters and monster killers. I can’t wait for book three!
