Half in love with the arrogant Hawkwood, Emma is devastated when she learns the real reason he asked her to marry him.But if Emma thinks Adam is the type of gentleman to meekly accept her rejection, she is about to learn exactly how INDECENT he can be when he wants something as deeply as he now wants Emma.

PRINCE OF SCANDAL is the first book in National Bestselling Author, Angelique Armae's, new Regency series Seduced by Scandal.
A lady in need of a scandal...
To keep up her secret work of rescuing street urchins from falling to ill repute, Lady Eliza Littlefield must escape her pending marriage to the cruel and very puritanical Earl Meyock. Unfortunately, only a ruined reputation will give her the results she's seeking. And it must be a most damaging event such as slipping into a brothel and being found out. But when she accidentally lands in the bed of Freddie Baine, Countavia's most notorious royal, the only person needing rescuing is herself.
Entraps the one prince who can't afford another sin...
As the youngest son of King Bertram II of Countavia, Frederick Arthur Louis David is a prince with a problem. Not only is he working with his six brothers to track down and expose the realm's underground anti-monarchists threatening to bring down the Crown, but he's also on the hunt for the kingdom's most notorious enemy--a cold blooded spy who is murdering Countavia's most prominent peers. Which is why the last thing he needs is to be saddled with a wife. Especially one as wild and as unpredictable as Lady Eliza Littlefield. But when he's found with her in his bed at Madame Harpcourt's--a safe house being used to conduct his mission under the guise of a brothel--he has no choice but to reel in the troublesome Eliza. Which poses problems in itself since he's secretly been attracted to the woman since they were children. But with a raging mad earl on his case, his covert mission on the brink, and a killer on the loose, what choice does he have? Keeping Eliza safe is a must. If only he knew he could keep her safe from himself--Countavia's notorious PRINCE OF SCANDAL--the situation might not be so sinful.

I am very happily married to Peter with six sons, and live on the Isle of Man
Liked both stories, but there was a difference in heat level between the two. Ms. Mortimer's is definitely a very spicy read, while Ms. Armae's book was more on the side of a sweet, sensual read. Kudos to both authors for offering a variety to their readers. Looking forward to reading more in both series.
Very sexy on the first book which I would have expected from this author. Not a long story very fulfilling the second one it was good not very spicy and I assume it's one of several because they kind of left it and his has six brothers!
Don't let my rating put you off if you are a Carole Mortimer fan please read it I thought it was good. But I found prince of scandal was utter rubbish not much substance, boring and the lack of imagination too much
This book contains two separate short novellas that are the first book in their series.
INDECENT by Carole Mortimer: Miss Emma Harris rejects the idea of marriage to the Adam Stirling, Duke of Harkwood. He proposed to her and then flaunts his affair with another woman on the same day. When Emma discovers she was mistaken, she is contrite, but Adam intends to teach Emma a lesson about jumping to conclusions -- a very erotic lesson.
I enjoyed this story. It is short and easy to read. The characters are not complex and the facts of the story feel completely unrealistic. But this is a good easy read that is really focused on the sexual exploits of these characters. Fans of Carole Mortimer's more sexy series will instantly recognize this situation and this story is one of the better stories.
This is the first book in the Regency Lovers series. Rating: 3.5 stars.
PRINCE OF SCANDAL by Angelique Armae: Lady Elizabeth Littlefield must figure out how to save her work on her orphanage in face of her brother's insistence that she wed a man she has no desire to be associated with. When an old friendship with the youngest prince Freddie is renewed, Lizzie and Freddie end up in a compromising situation that threatens to ruin Lizzie and put her in danger from the secret work that Freddie is doing.
This story had promise, but there is too much plot for such a short book to be combined with an actual romance. The story might have been better as a longer book. But because there is so much plot to explain, the relationship suffers. Even worse, the plot has a lot of inconsistencies which cause more problems. One example is that Lizzie won't disobey her brother in order to protect her orphanage, but yet she still has to send all the children away because the man she will marry won't approve of the orphanage. If the focus had been on the relationship, I might overlook these plot problems, but when the plot is the focus, I tend to concentrate on these types of problems.
Indecent 4 stars (might have been 5, but requires a large amount of suspension of disbelief for several actions and situations)
I was already a fan of Carole Mortimer, and this one does not dissapoint. Quite steamy with interesting characters and a filled out story for a novella. Mostly focuses on erotic moments, but has a wonderfully romantic ending. Looking forward to the rest of the series
Prince of Scandal: 3 stars
I was unfamiliar with Angelique Armae, but I did enjoy her her story, even though it was kind of all over the place. I liked the light tone and the banter between the brothers, but it dropped you into the story in an odd place and had some inconsistencies in character and plot. I will also say it was a strange combination of explicit language (copious f-bombs, somewhat naughty thoughts and nudity) , but then it was almost completely chaste in action, with only a tiny amount of kissing. Not sure the demographic this will appeal to. I may try the next in the series to see how a full length plays out
To be noted: both stories, but especially the second, need some editing. Quite a few typos and/or grammatical issues.
A great start to 2 new series! Indecent: This is a cleverly written love story with a mistaken identity, a malicious, crazed lady and two fine examples of strong main characters in Adam and Emma. She is a total innocent and he is a virile man, so you can imagine what goes on between them or you could read the story which is very entertaining, but be warned, this is a definite page turner and you might not be able to put it down till you finish it. The best part for me was the proposal, but then I'm a sucker for that kind of thing. Prince of Scandal : Gosh, imagine having seven sons! I had two and they were a handful. I can also relate to the older children being bossy and trying to tell the younger ones not only what to do, but how to do it. (Lol!) This story had its moments. There were times when I couldn't help but laugh at what went on and others where I couldn't imagne what would happen next. Loved all the characters in is story too. I hope you decide to read these books and that you enjoy them as much as I have.
