This book is impossible to review without reading between the lines. Both of the authors were well-known Soviet operatives. They were in the limelight for decades. Only they could have been allowed access to any of these sights. The idea that foreigners would be allowed to "motor" around the Soviet Union is ludicrous; even with the assistance and permission of Intourist. Just explain how they would deal with breakdowns. Or a broken windshield wiper. As a prime example of Soviet propaganda, you can't go wrong with this one.
