The highly-anticipated sequel to "When Reason Dies" is finally here! The saga continues! Tracie and Kristen accept help from an unsuspecting couple. Jacob and Danny struggle to locate their wives while ensuring their children are safe. Michi learns the downside of being part of Max's army. Baker's conscience undergoes its greatest challenge yet. And President Chambliss ups the ante on Cullen as their two warring armies bear down on one another! This is the intense, dystopian story that breaks all the rules! Here, you'll get a front-row seat on the front lines of America's second civil war. How far will people go to survive? To what depths will they sink to keep their loved ones safe? How will they hold onto their humanity while the rest of the world has seemingly gone mad? "Bleed The Trading Floor" picks up right where "When Reason Dies" left off. It's the same bone-chilling, blood-curdling wake-up call that will have all Americans taking a long, hard look in the mirror!
A bone chilling, blood cuddling tale that should have every reader look in the mirror and find a way to prevent this from possibly happening. This book picked right up from where "When Reason Dies" left off and continued this devastating tale.
Good follow on to When Reason Dies. Straughn Bowman paints a disturbing picture of a dystopian future where females are reduced to the status of commodities, to be sold or bartered for on the Trading Floor.
The characters portrayed in the Trading Floor at times reveal the bestial nature of ordinary people when they will do anything to survive in the aftermath of "IT."
My only criticism of Straughn's work is that the time when "IT" should have been revealed has passed. We can all guess what "IT" was, but it needs to be clarified because having folks keep referring to "IT" all the time, is getting a little tedious, real people would refer to "IT" by its proper name, whether that be civil war, constitutional crisis, or invasion.
Reading through this book and thinking about the events of today it is scary. some to things that they talk about our action here in the USA. I have never seen the hate that people seem to have a just each other has a game today which is really sad. I think you know why am coming from with this comment. Definitely a good read and I definitely will be following the series
The second installment in the Bleed Out series manages to become even more intense than the first. With various storylines (some of which converge at the end), the plot races forward at a breakneck pace. While the plot is supposed to take place in a dystopian future, it's honestly not too hard to imagine this as a future that we could live in one day - which is why everyone should read this book as a warning sign of what's to come.
The Trading Floor is the second post apocalyptic book in the Bleed Out series written by author Straughn Bowman. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
