The newlyweds arrive home to Pemberley following a honeymoon trip. Elizabeth wants to see every inch of her new home, and Mr. Darcy would love to comply. A Pride and Prejudice intimate variation/sequel. Second in a series of short stories about the Darcys' marriage bed.The second short story in a new, intimate Pride and Prejudice variation series by Grace Reeve.
Grace Reeve writes swoon-worthy stories inspired by the wit, passion, and unforgettable characters of Jane Austen. With a particular fondness for Mr. Darcy, clever heroines, and slow-burning tension, her novels blend Regency elegance with heart-fluttering romance. When she’s not dreaming up new ways for Elizabeth Bennet to scandalize society, Grace can be found curled up with a cup of tea, a cravat-clad hero, and far too many notebooks.
She lives for grand declarations, stolen glances, and happily ever afters—with just enough mischief along the way.
If it says "Intimate" in the title I have learned you can expect explicit details. Here the Darcys have returned from their wedding trip and Elizabeth is exploring Pemberley with her husband. She remembers how he looked when she and Aunt and Uncle Gardiner toured the estate and they came upon each other. So he offers her an afternoon to go "swimming". These four "parts" could have been put together in one book as each is very short.
My Library Notes: An Ardent Affection: Part 2 of a Pride & Prejudice Intimate Variation by Grace Reeve Kindle Edition, First Edition, 44 pages Published April 16, 2018 ASIN: B07C84KPLJ
A well-written short story if you want a quick and steamy Darcy-and-Elizabeth read. There IS more going on than just the intimate bits between the newlyweds, as Elizabeth meets and gets to know her new sister Georgiana here.
This is a continuation of the first book. The Darcy's have spent a month in Bath in their honeymoon and the story starts on their arrival at Pemberley... there is much discussion of Mr Darcy's appearance from the lake the last time Elizabeth was there and an enthusiasm to recreate that image... let's face it, haven't we all?
This story is a short mature novella about Elizabeth and Darcy as they are still in their honeymoon stage at Pemberly. They are obviously very happy and enjoying each other everywhere - including on the banks of the pond.
