An interesting and balanced overview of his life and times with enough railway detail but not too much technical stuff for those of us who don't cope with that. I would have liked to know more about Hudson's inner self but he wasn't introspective, so didn't leave many clues.

An interesting biography of the man who built much of Britain's railway system.
