At thirty, Millie has never had a suitor, but now she has two. She’s been satisfied with keeping house for her brother, Reverend Bing, and pursuing worthy causes. Soon, the new state of Colorado will be voting on women’s suffrage. Although it’s opposed by powerful, dangerous men, Millie is determined to rally support for it in Creede.
Because his heart was wounded by a tragedy six years ago, Edwin McRae spends all his time building his business cooking meals for the growing population of mining workers—without any interest in having a wife or family. Although he’s had deep feelings for Millie, he’s pushed them aside. When Sterling McCormick begins courting her, Edwin wonders if he can put old hurts in the past and open himself to a new love or risk losing her to another man.

MY TAKE I loved having a (relatively) older woman as the love interest. Millie is a pistol and has a wonderful heart. I especially loved how this story took on the issue of women's suffrage, including the challenges the women faced simply for asking for support of the question on the ballot.
Edwin is just wonderful. <3 The addition of his dead mother as the guardian angel in this story is charmingly hilarious at times. That's something I can always count on from Jo Noelle--some great humor with the sweet romance. Another winner in this wonderful series!
We’ve known and loved Millie from the very start of this series. She’s an outspoken woman with a heart of gold. Those she calls friends, which is just about everyone, are indeed blessed to know her. It’s rather fitting that Millie’s story involves getting the right to vote for women in Colorado. Millie has always put her heart and mind behind everything she believes in. Suffrage and Suitors brings two gentlemen into Millie’s life, one who has unknowingly held her heart for a very long time, the other a more recent acquaintance. It is a fun experience watching two men vie for this lovely lady – and you will know the moment she has made up her mind. I won’t spoil it, but you will know.
I had such fun with this story. A charming, outspoken angel, one bad guy gets his competence where it hurts the most… his wallet, we get to visit with old friends again and add a few new faces to the growing town of Creede, Colorado. It’s hard to not say more, but then I’d end up giving away too much. I loved this story and if you enjoy Western Historical Romance then I believe you would ,too. I hope this series continues for a very long time, I’m loving the romances and watching history take place.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
This was a delightful romance about a couple big on love, but not very accomplished at expressing it. I loved Mam, the interfering...oops...The facilitating guardian angel. The march for Votes for Women was well-written. A fun read.
I really enjoy the writing style of Jo Noelle because of the natural flow of dialogue, strong characters and unusual quirks of the plot. This story is interesting to the end and they didn’t even have to kill anyone off. Enjoy 💜
Edwin came to America to pursue his dreams and left his family back on Scotland. He wants to open his restaurant in Creede but it is still under construction. Then, he sees his dead mother who wants to tell him something but he thinks he is losing his mind. Millie Bing is a cook and she loves experimenting with pastries by creating new recipes. She had a crush on Edwin where she would dream of being married to him. However, she was disappointed when she realized that he has not done anything to imply of being attracted to her. As she walks with her friend, she mentions her plan of hosting a rally to vote for women which she will give out flyers to everyone. Edwin has known Millie since he was new to the small town. He notices that Sterling has an infatuation to Millie and when he notices that the man is dressed up, he decides to go with him to the church. As they head to inside, they raced towards the pew where Millie currently occupies and they both sat on her opposite sides. He does not even know why he cares about Sterling's crush on her.
A tragedy came to him unexpectedly when he went to America and left his family. They say it takes great courage to fight for what you believe so can he also show her what he truly feels? The story has a good plot and I love the dialogue between the characters. They have a great chemistry to each other and I love how she wants women to have a voice in the elections. Millie is a funny, gregarious, kind, happy, skillful, and a wonderful cook. Edwin is a good listener, caring, loyal, honest, and protective gentleman. I enjoyed reading the book and I love that Millie and Edwin finally have a HEA ending
Millie and Edwin really felt more like friends that were comfortable together than fated soul mates. It was horrible, it wasn’t great, it was just fine. Mille’s cause for women’s right to vote was a decent backdrop to the story, but Edwin’s guardian angel (his mother) was pretty lacking. Though so was Edwin. I continue to feel bad for Sterling. This is the third book where he is passed over or doesn’t connect with the main female, though I have to admit I think he was lucky not getting Millie. She even says it at one point she’ll always have a cause. Which could be seen as a positive and a negative as that means she’s always going to put herself and her family in danger. She’s an activist. All and all, this story felt like throw away tale. Not one I’m likely to revisit again. I am however even more excited by Callum’s story. And I’m holding out hope for Sterling. That man deserves love.
This is the sixteenth story in the Cowboys and Angels series. Millie Bing who seemed destined to never marry is actually attracted to Edwin McRae. Edwin has suffered having his restaurant destroyed but is slowly recovering the business as he builds a new restaurant. The angel helping them is Edwin's mother. The story includes interesting details about the American suffrage movement. It also has several secondary characters we have met in previous books in this series. All in all it's an enjoyable addition to the series.
Millie, one of the first women we met in this series gets her love story. I loved the incorporation of suffrage as one of her causes. Reason for the 4 stars was that Millie had been dismissed as "young" when she was a potential love interest for John during Mail-Order Merchant. Now she's a 30 year old. As a stand alone book, this was great and loved how a mature woman had multiple suitors, but as someone reading a series, I like the books to maintain character consistency.
An overprotective brother who is the minister of the little church makes it hard for Millie to have a suitor. Even though she appears to have two of them. Rebellion and stubbornness are a part of this story that tells of seeking the vote for women. Interesting story of the fight to gain the vote along with gaining her freedom as a young woman who wants out from under her brother's thumb. Well done!
We have known Millie from the start of the series but we discovered her in this book. Maybe it is because I am part Scot but I cried each time Edwin donned his kilt and tartan, but it did not say if he wore it for the wedding? Also thrilled at the trial verdict.
Women fighting for the right to vote was a great cause. Millie is bound and determined to make it happen. Edwin is a great guy but a bit shy. Sterling is a great guy but is he right for Millie? Find out who wins her hand and if women win the right to vote after this election.
Millie is Reverend Bing's sister and she's thirty so she figured by now she was never going to marry and have a family of her own. In this book Millie is stirring up the fight for Women's Right to Vote in Colorado, and she has two Suitors vying for her attention. Edwin McCrae, Millie has always had a crush on him but now he is taking an interest in her, and Sterling is asking her out. This is a fun read
Millie is in the center of controversy once again!
Millie, Pastor Bing's sister is in the midst of controversy as she rallys for women's rights to vote. You will enjoy reading how this behavior plus the fact she is now 30 years old affects her potential for marriage and a family. Oh yeah, there is an angel involved!
This is just another wonderful story in this series. The hope and dreams of women told in such a compelling way. I loved the dialogue. I love how much support from family and friends. I just love this series and anyone who reads it will love it also.
It was so delightful to read how Millie Bing challenged the town bully with so many supporters. Loved her determination for suffrage, and how she found true love at last.
Finally it is Millie's turn for love. Sfter reaching the age of 30 without having a single suitor, Millie suddenly finds herself being courted by two men. Loved how the story flipped between two different perspectives.
Millie and Edwin are so sweet and I love when their Angel is a relative! All of the characters are fantastic and we keep checking in on the previous characters! This is a great addition to the series and I can't wait to read the next one!
This was a fun book! Millie at thirty years old had never been on a date or kissed anyone. Now she had two suitors, a guardian angel and a dog protecting her besides all of the town minus Grady's hired thugs! - Babs
Edwin/restaurant owner and Millie Bing/ pastors Callum's sis This was an enjoyable story with an insight to women's rights and the road to equal rights. This story has a satisfying and complete HEA.
Sweet romance with a happy ending. I love this series and all the angels. Bob does his job and there's a hint of a future romance. Can't wait for the next book!
Another great book in a great series. I loved Millie and Edwin's story and the characters of Creed and Bachelor. I look forward to more books in the series.
