God Meant It for Good: The Alice T. Brown Story

Rate this book
The tragedies of life often leave broken hearts and countless grieving spirits in their wake. How does one finding healing when the pain seems too great to bear? God Meant It for Good helps readers understand how they can move on with their lives and gain an even deeper faith despite their suffering and loss. Alice Brown was no stranger to suffering. Her two year old son was struck by a car and killed in 1981. In the span of 5 years she learned her 2nd husband was homosexual, she was diagnosed with AIDS, and her 3rd husband died after less than two years of marriage. In spite of those experiences, Alice has emerged with lessons in 'victory'. The richness of her story is found in her response to the multiple tragedies she endured. Every terminally ill patient, every grieving loved one and every mourning spouse would benefit greatly from this story. Through the insights and spiritual lessons shared, you too can find healing and victory.

I received this book at a conference at work several years back and just decided to read it over lunch. This is a short and concise account of one woman's struggle with her AID's diagnosis, and of the role her faith has played in her treatment. Worth a read for healthcare professionals and anyone struggling with a serious illness of any kind.
