In Love with A Street Princess

Rate this book
Imagine growing up without your father in the household and having a mother that abuses drugs. Life had always been tough for the beautiful Zaire Cole and her twin brothers, Deshawn and Desmond Cole. That was up until Zaire got a little older, and her brothers realized that they could use her beauty to make a quick come up.
Being a street princess was all fun and games until Zaire meets Mase and soon falls in love. Mase comes from a different background and is ready to show Zaire the world, if only she would let him. Everything is going good for a minute; that was until her brother starts feeling betrayed and invites an outsider into the family business. Soon after, everything goes down the hill, and a tragic event causes havoc.
Zaire is stuck between both worlds and at the end, she will have to decide which side she is rolling with. Will the street princess choose the street life that she was raised by over love? Or will she be able to balance both, without disappointing the people that she loves?

Great Read

Deshawn was reckless, selfish, and hardheaded. He didn't seem to understand that the life him, Desmond, and Zaire was living couldn't continue. Deshawn was so hell-bent on getting money. He jeopardized everybody life around him which caused a domino effect. Desmond was sick of his brother's ways and wanted a better life for him, his woman, and child. Zaire wanted to live a normal life and to be loved but she was tired of struggling and had to have her brother's back. After reevaluating her life and meeting Mase. She realized she wanted better. Tragic struck and turned their lives upside down. Leaving Zaire thirsty for revenge.

This book was good from beginning to the end. Enjoyed the storyline and plot and it really make you think about trying to get things by any means necessary. So times you have to step back and take look around you. Deshawn only though of himself and not realizing his actions affect those around him, until it was to late. He cause so much pain and heartache to his love ones. So glad the Zaire had Mase and he showed her what true love was and that she could be so much more that a street princess.

A Happy Ending

I'm so glad that Zaire got her happy ending. Mase is so good for her. She looked beyond his skin color and loved him for who he truly was. I need him in my life. I felt so bad for Bryanna. Desmond didn't deserve to die because of his brother. Deshawn was a selfish bastard. Everything that happened was all his fault. He needed to suffer a little bit more.

What a way to tell a story

I loved the main characters and although I'd love to hear more about Mace I was happy Zaire got her Prince charming. I was sad about the twins but that's what happens when you're in the street life.

Is this the end?

This was a pretty good book. With Zaire, I wanted a little bit more out of her, she was the main character. I’m curious, is she done with all the street stuff, do she have some more revenging to do?

Great Read!

Truly enjoyed this read. I wasn't surprised to find out that it took violence against a loved one to bring a family together. Great job T. Friday!

Review

This was my first read by this author. She did a good job with the story, but the editing issues took away a good book.
