A collection of essays and photographs highlight events during the Second World War, including Roosevelt and Churchill's first encounter, the confinement of thousands of Japanese Americans, war rations, D-Day, and more
Absolutely stunning. One of the best World War II books I've read in a long time. You will not be disappointed. There are so many photographs and references, and it covers World War II while straying off the typical path, providing a 3-dimensional view to the other books I've read covering the same time periods or events, giving a well-rounded idea of what it was really like. I HIGHLY recommend it.
An absolute treasure of photographs, illustrations, and important information about the times, battles, people, and tragedies that encompassed World War II. Starting from Pearl Harbor, the author does a great job of including interesting and important battles and people that took part in America's involvement in the war. A great reference book for anyone's library collection. Any fan of World War II should enjoy this book!
