This book is phenomenal! If you are looking for a short daily read with a place to reflect and grow in your spiritual walk, then this is the book for you! This book has humor, biblical truth, and emotion. As I am reading I feel that Meredith has been in my head and listening to my thoughts as a leader, mother and friend. If you feel alone in your ministry, this is the book for you! If you feel overwhelmed by your to-do list, this is the book for you! If you have a "noisy roommate" that speaks ugly, discouraging words into your head and life, this is the book for you! Each chapter takes about 5-10 minutes to complete, but I have found myself going back and re-reading and reflecting from day to day. This book might just change your life, ministry and attitude!

Don’t be fooled into believing this book is just for leaders in the workplace. As Meredith explains right from the start, we are all leaders in some aspect of our lives and this book will meet you wherever you are in life. Immovable is easy to read and will speak to that inner struggle we all face at times to be someone, to make something out of our lives, to be loved and accepted. Each chapter is short, taking a just a few minutes to read. There are prompts at the end of each chapter that allow you to reflect and dig deeper into your own life journey. I highly recommend it.

I am reviewing the introduction and first two chapters that I received from the author. There are so many good nuggets of wisdom to pull from Meredith’s new book. Whether you are leading a corporation or leading a family you will get something out of this book. IMMOVABLE is an easy and quick read (and that’s coming from a non-reader 😉). The book, also, has great reflection and “go-deeper” with your thoughts pages at the end of each chapter. Highly recommend.

There were some good things in here. Wasn't too impressed. There didn't seem to be very much depth in her writing. It felt like a homeschool mom writing to other homeschool moms. They would probably appreciate it more.

Meredith King is a high capacity leader with a heart for Jesus. Add a dose of humility, and you have an authentic leader who you will want to follow. In her first book, Immovable, King uses relatable personal stories that support the need for Biblical principles in leadership. I was only two chapters in when King's vulnerability earned my trust. She didn't simply make a list of things she thought leaders should know and write a book. She earned every lesson, and after years of leadership, with humility, she offers you her heart. Her profound real life experiences clearly reveal the need to make the Word of God the solid ground on which every leaders should stand.

Written in bite sized pieces, there is no fluff; each chapter stands alone as a gold nugget of wisdom, and works as a perfect companion to my daily devotional. King doesn't write for writings sake; she is a coaching leader who knows the best way to self reflect is by asking yourself a great question. The questions at the end of the chapter caused me to pause and reflect on my own life. After all, what good is a leadership book if it doesn't affect change in the leader who is reading it? After the question, King gives you a simple action step, which I found quite refreshing. As a leader, I often long for someone to lead ME! No doubt, King has the heart of a coach, because she refrains from fire hosing you with information, and instead, carefully dishes out nuggets of wisdom one at a time so you can take powerful steps forward.

Meredith's words always inspire! Her book is so applicable to my life as a college student. It's been encouraging not only in my life as a leader but in my academic life as well. It provides so much comfort and rejuvenation for leaders to keep doing what they do! There is so much grace in her encouragement.
