About the author

Tsugumi Ōba (大場つぐみ), born in Tokyo, Japan, is a writer best known for the manga Death Note. His/her real identity is a closely guarded secret. As stated by the profile placed at the beginning of each Death Note manga, Ōba collects teacups and develops manga plots while holding his knees on a chair, similar to a habit of L, one of the main characters of the series.

There is speculation that Tsugumi Ōba is a pen name and that he is really Hiroshi Gamō. Pointing out that in Bakuman the main character's uncle was a one-hit wonder manga artist who worked on a gag super hero manga, very similar to Gamō and Tottemo! Luckyman in all aspects. Also that the storyboards drawn by Ōba greatly resemble Tottemo! Luckyman in style.

What I learnt from this book is that I probably need help with my L obession. That aside, this is an excellent purchase. Photos of L posing with cake. Woot! Includes bonus comic strip of kiddy L solving his very first case.

I'm a huge fan of Death Note, so I was excited to dive into this one-shot and I was not disappointed. L File No.15 is an intense and gripping mystery that follows the iconic detective L as he solves a case involving a group of wealthy and influential people. The plot is expertly crafted and keeps you guessing until the very end.

What I love about this one-shot is how it captures the essence of Death Note's unique blend of psychological thriller and mystery. The characters are complex and well-developed, and the dialogue is sharp and witty. It's also great to see L in action again and witness his incredible deductive skills at work.

Overall, I highly recommend L File No.15 to any fans of Death Note who are looking for a thrilling and engaging read. It's a testament to the series' enduring popularity and showcases why Death Note remains one of the greatest manga of all time. 5 stars!
