Published in 1984, 'F11F Tiger' is volume 17 in the 'in detail & scale' series of booklets. It covers the USN combat aircraft famous for being the first supersonic USN aircraft type. Aimed clearly at the aviation modeller, this booklet contains over 190 well captioned photos of which some are in colour, all aimed at providing added detail for modellers. In addition, there are 5 pages of 1/72 scale plans, and the book concludes with 4 pages summarising modelling products related to the F11F Tiger including model kits and aftermarket decal sheets. In a book as old as this, the final section would usually be the one most likely to become seriously out of date, yet it hasn't changed that much - possibly a reflection of the lack of interest in the subject.
