God Prepared a Fish – How God Transformed an Atheist Adrenaline Junkie into a Bible Smuggler is the true first-person autobiography of Darvis McCoy. For nearly four decades he sought thrills and adventure, pushing the envelope way beyond the rim of safety. The early chapters describe how his life was miraculously preserved time and again despite his mocking disregard for God. Then that divine power confronted him with the truth of Jesus, transforming him into a whole new man. Not unlike the Apostle Paul, God redeemed his former love of thrills and adventure, infusing him with rarely seen boldness to carry the message of Jesus’ love to places most would never go. The later chapters describe his hair-raising experiences bringing Bibles and encouragement to Christ-followers in fifteen different “closed” countries where Christians are hated, persecuted, and killed. In these chapters, God’s miracle-working power gleams around the world.
Someone described this book to me as a modern day New Testament and after finishing the book I totally agree! This not my normal genre for recreational reading, but I love inspirational stories. Learning the authors past and his present and the amazing things he did is an amazing testimony to the miraculous things God can do, especially in the author's revelations in the last chapter. Definitely a recommended read!
