This book was written by a meteorologist to explain basic weather phenomena to young children. It is a picture book that will give a child very simple information about the weather. Topics include temperature, hurricanes, tornados, hail, thunderstorms, snow, lightning and the sun. I like the fact that the author uses simple comparisons like one cloud can weigh as much as one hundred elephants to help children understand.
I read the Kindle edition, and the font was very small even when enlarged. This makes the text difficult for young children to follow. While the illustrations are pleasing, there is not a lot of information given on any one topic. I would recommend the book as a beginning introduction to the concepts of weather for preschool and kindergarten readers.

Excellent
I thoroughly enjoy reading these type of children books, for they always teach my children an important life lesson in a simple and easy way that they can understand. It's important for children today to have morals, and the only way that they will obtain them is if they are taught from a young age.

Wow! Weather is a children’s picture book written by a popular weatherman Paul Deanno and illustrated by Toby Mikle. It is full of interesting facts about the weather with over 15 photos to illustrate the factual information being presented in a way kids can easily understand. Paul beautifully explains some amazing facts on weather and science including Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Snowstorms, Thunderstorms, and Hail to name a few. The book is told from a kid’s perspective as she is seen sharing interesting weather phenomena with her family members.
This book is both informative and fun. The information is simply put, but able to provide enough info for an adult to enjoy learning as they read it to a child. Gorgeous illustrations and amazing rhythm which makes it really fun to read out loud. Lots of things on each page to point out and narrate. For instance – the elephants are used to enable them to imagine the heaviness of a thundercloud. This book introduces young children to every aspect of weather and answers the questions curious kids want to know!
Overall, this was an enjoyable and interesting book. We would highly recommend it. With its natural look and feel, Wow Weather is sure to make learning a breeze for little explorers.
