An exciting story following a woman who discovers a particle allowing for teleportation (jumping, if she had her way) at light speed. Of course, with any new technology, there comes a tradeoff. In this particular case, that tradeoff is rather large. This story intermixes with the realms of faith, and of God, but even if that isn't your "thing," the author does a great job of not shoving it down your throat. It's very much the heroine's journey through her own relationship with God (at least, that's my take on it), and really, it's woven beautifully into the overall plot without being overbearing. The end is wonderfully done and leaves the storm-torn world open for future installments. Excellent debut novel!

One thing I really liked about this book was the strong relationship between Patricia and Jordan. It was refreshing to see a working marriage in a book which could be used as a role model.

Dr. Patricia Pycroft has made an astonishing discovery, but keeping it a secret takes its toll on her life. In the days that lead up to the incredible announcement, strange things start happening. What will be the cost of this discovery? How many people will be affected? Will there be any way to turn this discovery for good?
Matthew E. Nordin does a great job of capturing the reader's attention and keeping them engaged throughout the story. He weaves the faith of the characters and their spiritual journey into the story in a practical way. A very clean, fun, and engaging story.
