Joey Jeremiah wants to be a rock star and he just knows that his band, the Zit Remedy, is going to go all the way. Then Joey fails grade eight. He's shocked and horribly embarrassed—until he spots an ad for a Battle of the Bands. If the Zit Remedy wins, this could be Joey's chance to show he's headed for big things, after all.

I've been a big fan of Degrassi for years. I started with The Next Generation and then worked my way down to Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High. Now I love both generations. Joey is definitely a great character and I always enjoy seeing him so I was really excited to get this book to read from his POV.
It didn't disappoint. Reading this book was just like watching an episode of Degrassi. The characters were exactly the same as they are on the screen.
I feel that the author did a superb job at capturing Joey's emotions in this book. The storyline was also neat and fun to read about. I liked Teresa and her relationship with Joey. I also liked the tension between Joey, his parents, his friends, and everyone.
This is probably so far my favorite of the Degrassi books.
Yet another novel that gave extra insight into the characters of Degrassi. I’m looking forward to reading the next ones and hope to find the ones in between sometime in the future.
