I read this book in not quite the way that it’s intended to be read but nonetheless found it to be incredibly interesting.
I’ve been interested in religion and religions for a while now and have studied a lot of them to quite a depth. I’ve always shunned away from Christianity because of the experience I had with it growing up in a Christian school as a child.
But recently I’ve been opening up more and more to the teachings that can be learned from Christianity and this book was really helpful.
It’s made as a book that should be read a little a day over a 2 month period, with one practicing what they learn on the way.
While I didn’t do this I can see how this would help maintain and solidify your religion. It was easy to read, understandable and well written.
True Purpose In Jesus Christ The Christian Identity 60 Days for Jesus
He offers astounding clear portraits of Grace's life-changing power – everything we're trying to achieve in the Christian life has already been given to us from God, by grace, in Christ.
We can quit our best efforts to live the Christian life because no one other than Jesus Christ can live it, for the simple reason that He is the Christian life.
The author also highlighted the huge distinction between the Old and New Covenant scripture in the simplest way to understand it.
I am still yet to read book 1 of the 60 days for Jesus collection. However, I have read volume 2 and now volume 3. I don't consider myself particularly religious but never felt that I had a good enough understanding of Christianity. In reading these books, I have become more aware of the choices I make and how I approach situations. I would be lying if I said that I am now a die-hard Christian, but that doesn't mean this book hasn't helped me because it really has.
I have done 3of Matt’s 60day devotionals so far and I really like how he gets to the point and shows you what’s really important and that all we have to do is believe and let god do the rest
