When you have lived without sex for years and consider an action movie on the couch the highlight of your week - what does that say about you as a person? Katrina Thomas stopped asking herself that question a long time ago. First of all, she was a mom. Second of all, she wasn’t a rush-seeking, living-in-the-moment kind of person. She was a planner. She made lists! She definitely wasn’t brave or heroic, so when she rescues a man from a burning car, no one was more shocked than her. Her quiet life takes an unexpected turn as the man she saves is none other than hard bodied, NFL superstar Theo Collins.
Determined to keep her private life intact, Katrina wants nothing to do with the circus surrounding Theo’s perfect life with his gorgeous TV star wife. But things aren’t always as perfect as they seem, and the stubborn football player refuses to leave Katrina alone, convinced that they are meant to be together. Her life becomes a constant battle to resist the biggest temptation she has ever faced. Temptation in the shape of a sinfully sexy six foot five professional athlete.
Hot, steamy, sexy - great read for the beach or to curl up with on a rainy day. Typical recipe for a page-turning romance: gorgeous dude, vulnerable female, one vicious (almost) ex and the quintessential misunderstanding that leads to amazing make-up sex. My only criticism was I wanted Vivian to have some serious karma smack her in her TV face, such as a good cat fight, her affair with the senator exposed or to be told off publicly by Theo and or Marcus for her little PI stunt. Then again, I can be pretty vindictive and I want payback. That said, what I loved about the book was the relationship between Kat and Theo. Kay's friendship with Edith and the brotherly interaction between Shane and Theo. Loved the sports element too. Can't wait for the rest of the series. Nice job J!

What would you do if you were minding your own business and witnessed a terrible car accident? Well Kat finds herself in that situation and it changes her life forever. Inside the car she saw spin out is a man hanging upside down with gas dripping from the car. She doesn't hesitate to recue the man even though he is huge. She manages to free him but not before she sustained some injuries. As she goes to call 9-1-1, he awakens and she sees his hazel eyes. She is taken aback by their beauty. They are rushed to the hospital and when coming to herself finds the nurse telling her that "her "husband is looking for her. Theo has been in a bad way until he lays eyes on his savior from the car accident. She is simply gorgeous and has to get to know her. He finds every excuse in the world to get to know her. He discovers she has no idea of his status as a Football player. They are drawn to each other but circumstances don't seem to be working in their favor. When Theo's actual wife appears Kat realizes that her dream will never happen with Theo. Watch as an enemy and time 'almost' ruin a love of a lifetime. Great 1st time read by this author..love it..
While i liked the plot, i had a few issues with it. It seemed like a long complicated read when really it should not of been. Also lets not forget he had sex with his wife? ex wife? (sorry i thought they were divorced already) but turns out they are not. Yeah i know totally confusing right? But still he started a relationship with Kat and had sex with his wife" what the hell? Even though i liked the guy, i can not let it go that i am miffed about it to say the least...not giving spoilers away think people need to read it themselves...
I loved the storyline. I liked the characters immensely and I became invested enough that I wanted to experience the conclusion but the delivery left me lacking. I felt the story on a whole had very little emotion from the first chapter which should have been riveting. I stuck with the book because I yearned for more. I think with a good content editing the paragraphs could thrive and eliminate the clinical descriptions that detract from the romance.
