This is the 3rd book of BA Paris and she has not failed me. Although the story is more serious and leans toward drama as compared to Behind Closed Doors and The Break Down, the plot and the story twists remain unpredictable and unexpected. Indeed the author has such brilliant mind to write incredible books!

Of the three B.A. Paris novels I've read this is my least favorite. Parts of the book dragged even though it's not over 300 pages. I did not feel anything for the character, like I did in Behind Closed Doors,and The Breakdown. The ending seemed far fetched unless Finn was blind.

I really loved this book. It had a lot of deeper meaning & life lessons. However, sometimes it could be repetitive which made it feel slow moving. The ending kinda broke my heart even though I thought Layla and Finn were bad for each other. It was heartbreaking to know she was literally there the whole time and he never knew. Although, at the end of the novel when he says that he would've known her anywhere if he truly loved her makes you think about your own definition of love. Finn was obsessed with Layla yet questioned his undying love for her at the end of the novel. I also wonder if anyone in our lives that truly loved us would recognize us if we changed how we looked and acted.
