I swore off women when my wife died.
I put my old life in cold storage and escaped to the mountains.

Up there, I could keep my demons locked away.

But then Amanda wandered somewhere she didn’t belong…
Right into my arms.

Now, we’re snowed in.
Just me, her…
And the darkness inside me that’s threatening to devour us both.

I have read a few other books by this author and always love her work.

In this book we have Amanda, who owns and runs a little coffee shop and bakery in a small town. She loves baking and cooking. She knows all the locals and their orders as soon as they walk in the door. She is young, and didn’t go to college, but she is working and doing what she loves.

Christopher, is a large man, nothing about him is small. He is currently a landscaper, working with his hands and being active is what he loves doing. He was part of a local MC club until a few years ago. Now he basically keeps to himself and out of town.

Amanda is headed to her parents house for the Christmas Holidays, and doesn’t realize that a huge snow storm is on the way. Just outside her small storm she pulls over to stop as she can’t see anything due to the snow storm. She fell alseep and is rescued by someone banging on her outside of the car, Christopher. All Amanda see’s is someone reaching for her and helping her out of the car. Christopher is a beast size man, over 6’2”, and double her size for sure. He tells her that he’s not a serial killer and she can trust him. Can she though?

Amanda goes with Christopher to his house, and gets by the fire to warm. Amanda realizes that Christopher is a bit gruff, but harmless.

Will Christopher and Amanda be able to work through their bickering and fighting? Will they grow on each other?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review of this book.

This is a fascinating, intriguing book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The book is about a young woman (Amanda) who is fleeing from an abusive relationship and gets trapped in her car by a snowstorm and a moody solitary man (Christopher) who rescues her, from here the adventure begins. What you will find in this book is: drama, intrigue, some suspense, twists & turns, a crazy ex, law enforcement, MC gangs, adventure, some action, secrets, memories, abuse, threats, rumors, gossip, abduction, rescued, lust, passion, love and erotic senses. I found the story-line and plot to be well thought out and written. The characters have varying emotional feelings according to the situation they find themselves in. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a well-written MC romance with a HEA.

Great drama

Never thought I'd like this book mainly because it was book 1 of a trilogy. I don't usually do trilogies. The writing had me caught up in the story from the start. The characterisation are well developed love the real dark and handsome Christopher a brooding quiet unmasked hero in waiting. This story is similar to a few mountain men stories although I really feel it's different if only because of the writing. Anyway try it yourself, I'm about to get the other two in the trilogy, can't help it, have to see what happens.

Amanda makes a bad decision and requires rescue during a snow storm. Christopher is the man who rescues her. After a couple of days spent poking at each other then fooling around, they think they might have something. Then she finds out some of his backstory and things don't looks so rosy. There is an abusive relationship, long-hidden truths, and awful secrets involved. Great read! And the bad guy gets what's coming to him!

Biker bad guy

I was really enjoying the story. Christopher is a great character and the way he rescued Amanda was really well written. It was hard to understand how Amanda could mess up so much in the snow storm, but otherwise I really liked her. My problem was the ending, or rather the lack of an ending. It felt like the story just stopped and was to be continued in the next book. It was like looking for the next chapter and it just wasn’t there.

Amanda owns a new coffee shop in town, but when she tries to go visit her parents for a holiday she gets stranded in a blizzard.. Rescued by the town's resident black sheep bad boy Christopher,

Bravo Heather.
This has got to be one of my favorites.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC version of this book.
The emotions, the fear and the passion from both Amanda and Christopher was breathtaking. You could not have made it better. It is perfect in my opinion.
I would highly recommend this book with the warning of abuse/stalker trigger.
Happy reading!
