Dan R. Matthews shares a new perspective, connecting physical and spiritual laws to the teachings of Jesus. Jesus’ teachings can be used today to expand our awareness, and to help move the earth to a higher level of prosperity, unity and gratitude. By applying the spiritual laws, we can expand and live a more abundant life. Jesus encouraged each of us to ask for what seems to be impossible, and believe that it is so.

For seventeen years Dan R. Matthews taught in secondary school and at the college level. He holds a Master of Science degree, as well as degrees in English and physics. He is a member of American Mensa. Dan and his wife Sharen live on a cliff over the ocean, surrounded by the dense rain forest of the Pacific Northwest. They enjoy surfing and other outdoor activities. Their most important passion is to achieve life goals, with the purpose of helping others.

The title of this book really did nothing to entice me to read it. Being agnostic, I thought this Self-Help Jesus would be another one of those books pushing the need of living by the Christian word!
Although the content of the manuscript uses several passages from the scriptures, mostly the new testament, it does not have the feel of a treatise on the merits of the bible per say. What is shared in this book is the power that we all have, and that we can all wield. The keys to this power are plainly depicted within the scriptures that Dan R. Matthews chose to use. If we were to take the time to read the new testament ourselves and chose to see the subtle and not so subtle messages that are contained within its pages we would come to the same conclusions as the author. That the secrets to living a fulfilling and abundant life are within each and every one of us.
I loved this book. It is very compelling. I really enjoyed the author’s fresh perspective on the Judeo-Christian teachings as they relate to the laws of success and abundance. I found the way the author drew direct links between the Christian scriptures and the principles contained in Think and Grow Rich, among other books, very interesting and refreshing... I recommend this book to anyone looking to begin or deepen their understanding of these success principles.
