Beth Walker knows Logan Hallowell is the man for her - has known from the minute she laid eyes on him.
She also knows she’s not the woman for him.
***
They’ve spent the last year dancing around each other; Logan taking one step forward, Beth jumping two steps back; until she comes home from a months-long work detail and Logan is not the man she remembers. She’s willing to put herself Love’s crosshairs to get him back on his feet again, because a world without the Logan she fell in love with is no world at all.
When Beth suggests they take a road trip, something to take his mind off his tanked career and lost future, Logan grudgingly agrees and gets more than he bargained for. He starts to realize that maybe it hadn’t been love at first sight between them like he originally thought. Maybe it took long hours in a car together, sleeping in a tent side by side, and candid admissions at the Grand Canyon to fall head-over-heels for Beth Walker.
But her confession changes everything and Logan finds himself caught between the only dream he has left for his future and the woman he loves.
I can’t even rate this. Bummed me out that the hero is still a nice guy except all the joy is drained from his character. The heroine is awful again and again in order to “protect” the hero from her.
Angst read. Push/pull. On/off relationship spanning years. She rings him confessing being with another man in one of the times they were off, this happened in book 1 about a different couple but is referred to. Good story though I am not keen on on/off genre. Couples featured from previous books in the series and breadcrumbs dropped about other characters. HEA.
I loved this story so much! Logan and Beth both had tremendous hurdles to jump to be the person they became together at the end. It was your classic love at first sight romance with a lot of juicy drama in between. Jenni did such a great job creating and progressing these captivating characters. Can't wait to read Alexa's story!
Thoughtful, heart-tugging second chance at love romance
This is the third book in the Freehope series and the third book I've read by Jenni M. Rose and I look forward to reading more of her wonderful work. Beth and Logan originally meet in the first book of the series, but the author provides a strong enough foundation that you can read it as a stand alone though I highly recommend all the books in the series. Beth and Logan have had a rollercoaster of a relationship. Both of them are very human complicated characters that have yet to deal with their individual baggage. During their road trip to the Grand Canyon they discover so much more than what they visit on their way. I don't put spoilers in my reviews, but I will say the author handled some very sensitive issues with dignity and understanding. I could not put down this book, reading it in one sitting. The secondary characters were a plus and I enjoyed seeing what the characters in the previous books were up to. Too, the story also introduced some interesting characters from the soon to be released spin/off series The Williams Brothers. I reveived an advance reader copy of this book.
Wow! I loved Logan and Beth from the first book!! Then Beth did what she always does.. Ahh I wanted to tell at her WHY??? But as you read and figure out why and how her mother's death effected her. I was expecting something different and I got a beautiful sweet redemption and deep love they have for each other. The stripper scene was just like Beth not thought out!! 😂😂 Beth want a to give Logan what he's given her absolute love But it might be to late after all her running!!
No spoilers-- Read it!! It's so Damn good!! Loved it!!
This book ripped my heart out just like the first one in the series did. The first book is where we are introduced to Beth and Logan and while you could probably get away without reading the first book it will make a lot more sense if you do. It did put my heart back together however some of the time I just wanted to scream at Beth and Logan for separate miscommunication or missed communication.
she knew as soon as she saw him that she loved him and wanted him so much. she went away and when she came back he was different. they go on a road trip and he finds he loves her but what will he choose his future or his love? see what he will decide
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I read this book all at once since I couldn't put it down. It was a beautiful tale of love and its up and down. The characters are well defined and you can't help but fall in love with them. I haven't read the first two books, but will do so now that I have read this book. I plan on reading this book again afterwards. I dare you not to fall in love with this book.
Book three in the Freehope series a well-written story that I enjoyed reading. Both Beth and Logan have things they must get past if they are going to be together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a heart warming stand alone. It is well written and keeps your interest through out. The characters and the story line are wonderful. I recommend this book to all. I received it as an arc and voluntarily reviewed it.
This is Beth and Doc's story. Here we read more about the reasons of her rebellion. And will Doc, aka Logan be able to convince her she is worth the challenge. And will she finally let him in her heart?
Beth Walker knows Logan Hallowell is the man for her, Logan knows she is the woman for him. Now if they could manage to get on the same page at the same time.
An emotional read that touched on several tough topics, ovarian cancer, depression, harassment and amputation, very tastefully. I highly recommend this series!
