As Elizabeth fights for her place in their world, it becomes clear that all four Dragon shifters crave more from her. All four men desire her. Each wants to claim her body and heart and soul.
Can Elizabeth chose between them? Or will Elizabeth be able to keep a hold of all the men who have grown so close to her heart?
***Elizabeth and Her Dragons is Book 1-4 of the Fated Alpha Series. Each book features a paranormal romance, a true reverse harem with one woman and four sexy, demanding and protective shifters.***
I made it part way through book 3. I thought; huh, it's on KU and a lot of books in one, ill give it a go! Book 1 was okay... I was getting my head wrapped around the world. Then I realized there were plenty of holes in the story as it progressed. Some information given was contradicted further on in the story, some things came straight out of left field and left you perplexed. The plot was not formulated right. Sure, surprise the reader, but you have to tie it in! That was a failure on the authors part that I couldn't agree with. A lot of situations happened for no reason, or were plotted and executed poorly. It infuriated me time and time again when the outcomes could have been different or the situation and circumstances could have came to be more organically had it been written differently. The whole "woe is me" thing and talking herself up in situations made me dislike Elizabeth. The guys? Yeah, I don't really know enough about them aside from they are crude and idiotic by nature. And one of them has a tragic past, and an another has dreamed of Lizzy for years before they met. I feel the writer did a disservice to us when she didn't give the reader more information. She tried, that's for sure, but didn't encompass all the angles that were needed. Instead it's written up to shock and awe us, but it leaves us perplexed and irritated instead.
This was a great beginning and middle of this series. Some things felt rushed and others a little crazy or brushed over but I’m still enjoying the series.
The first book is fast paced and packed full of action. We meet Elizabeth and she is unable to shift. Her father is just the sweetest guy ever. I love how caring he is of Elizabeth. We have sweet moments with Aaron but sometimes fate is not what we expect it to be. We then meet Hunter, Christian, Avery, and Easton. We really don’t get to learn much about them as it is nonstop action after meeting them. The story is well written and developed. I am grateful to have the boxset that way I can continue right into the next book after that pretty big cliffhanger.
Elizabeth and the Call of Dragons
Goodness, this story just keeps getting better and better. We now are trying to train Elizabeth so she can shift properly and be stronger to do what needs to do. We are learning more about the guys and what has occurred throughout their lives. The story really gains more action and drama as this book continues where. It is definitely a fantastic story. The ending of this book was a major cliffhanger. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Elizabeth and the Magic of Dragons
Oh my we go through some major emotions throughout this one. It definitely has a lot of drama packed in such a short amount of time. We get to meet the queen and we learn not all is as it seems. We see Elizabeth and the guys getting closer and getting to know even more about each other. The story is extremely well written and developed. It definitely pulls you in and doesn’t let go. There was another major cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Elizabeth, Alpha of Dragons
Oh wow! This one is definitely full of action. We have so much going on and Elizabeth definitely growing as she learns to harness her powers. There is a lot of drama in the mix as well. The story is extremely well written and developed. It has you on the edge of your seat with anticipation. Then we get to a major cliffhanger. Boy, I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I liked it really much. Though I would like to have learned more about the queen. She seemed to be a very interesting character.
I hate the ending. Such a big cliffhanger!! I know I can just grab the next copy and start reading, but it leaves me with such curiosity and abundance of feelings I can't quite place. Avery who comes home from his mission and says he wants to leave? WHAT IS GOING ON!!
But I liked Easton. He has a mind of his own, and shows his way of thinking in the way he shows his love for Elizabeth. I feel like his love is described a bit deeper than the others. You can without a doubt say that his feelings is different and therefore described and shown in a different way than Avery, Christian and Hunter. Not that I didn't like the others, but I just could deeper connect with Elizabeth's relationship with Easton. Seemed more realistic to me anyway. (I'm a bit of a darkness-in-oneself-that-is-hard-to-explain-kind-of-love type anyway).

So frustrating! This series could have been absolutely amazing but..... the men in this book are in their mid to late 20s yet act like teenagers. I didn't understand why grown men kept rubbing each other's feet and acting really soft. The FMC is a wolf shifter that has trouble shifting and acts very tough but in reality is pretty weak. How an elite group of Dragons are also really weak i have no idea..... why the author thought that was a good idea I don't know. So there's training, a secret dragon land, wolves mating with Dragons and some action here and there. Most of the time I was left wanting more. The first book is the best with scenes giving an 8 out of 10 but the rest were around 6s which just left me putting down the book and forgetting about it.

I only read the first 2 books so that is where my rating will be. The books were only okay for me and I am not sure if I will complete the rest of the series. Elizabeth is just a little to indecisive for me. She wants to be with the dragons but she keeps going back to her feelings for her old boyfriend. It is just too back and forth for me. There isn't a whole lot of time and details spent on scenes except for the action scenes. Those tend to go on for quite awhile so the flow of the book seemed off for me. (example in book 2 when they were defeating that monster in the lake; it just went on and on and on...) The books were okay, just not enough to hold my interest.
Wow! Such an amazing story. At first, I was a little put off that the books were so short - but I love how the story flows so easily. The breaks make sense.
Coming to know and understand the dragons was a joy to read. Each of the guys are so distinct and personable. Wonderful writing of a very complex group of men and their dynamic.
Elizabeth is a fire cracker!! She’s a complete bad ass and I want to be her when I grow up ;) I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all four books and I can’t wait to read on!
Loved these so much. I usually dislike harem books. But ava brought an appeal to this by creating interesting charactors.
My 2 problems: I think the sex/plot ratio is off. Meaning there is WAY more sex scenes than plotline. The other thing is the editing. It needs a better editor. Words are off. Many are misspelled. Sometimes the sentence didnt make sense and the names of the charactors changed a few times. (Like ember to amber.)
DNF @ 65%. I read 3/4 books in this set. I stopped right after the third book. I think that the series has a good base. I just felt like I was reading the major plot points. I did not feel like I got any character development throughout the first three books. I also did not feel any crazy attachment to any of the dragons. I think that if this book is revisited and developed more than it will be a great series. Also, the length of each book is novella length.
When I reviewed the first one I mentioned I didn't expect to like this.i thought it was going to be a simple fast read. I was surprised at the depth of the characters and the story ended up having suspense, betrayal, fighting and the other relationships evolving. I really enjoyed this series and was sad to see it end.
I've read everyone of these books and love the connection between Elizabeth and her dragon's. Each one of them brings something out of her and makes her stronger and confident. And the hotness is outta this world yet so tender. Great storyline and awesome characters.
I really loved this series and will get next book today! I recommend this to anyone. It's one of my best reads. I received the series from KU but plan on buying it. It is that good
I really enjoyed this series. The only reason it's a 4 not 5 star is because a lot of the sentences felt like they repeated themselves. A lot of redundant wording to convey a thought. I really enjoyed the characters and their story though so I could look past that when i was reading.
I loved this series! A strong female who knows who and what she wants and gets it. I couldn’t stop reading them once I started. Each character has a real personality and quirks that you learn to love.
I read all of these books as they came out and they do not disappoint. Lots of action and steam. Elizabeth is a great character along with all of her guys. The boxset is a wonderful way to read them as Ava is the queen of cliffhangers. Loved it!!
These 4 books have you on the edge of your seat, they have it all, love, betrayal, hate, good & evil, engaging characters & fantastic storylines. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Favorite series ever!! Couldn't put them down and devoured them all! Whenever I'm in a reading slump I come back to this series. The characters and their relationships are amazing. Oh to be Elizabeth and have her dragons *swoon*
Omg the first 4 books were just amazing. I love this series and I can’t wait to get into the rest of them. So much hurt and love and power. It’s just amazing.
This book is dumb. You mean to tell me their “love” is going to die and none of them can fly off with her??? And a dragon is afraid of flying in an airplane. It’s just all real stupid.
