The eternal battle of good versus evil is sparked by a marital spat between two gods. Now, the goddess, Haya, must defend all of creation from the evil schemes of her estranged husband, Haeldrun, who has crowned himself god of the Underworld and darkness.
As Haeldrun works on his grand scheme to snuff out the light of creation, his estranged wife makes plans of her own, enlisting the help of an unlikely band of saviors led by her chosen hero, who is the newborn son of a common man and woman.
The Light had better be on the ball because the Darkness is bringing its "A" game!
The survival of life and light depend upon the actions and decisions of mere mortals. What could go wrong?

I have been a writer of stories and poetry all of my life. Some of it has been great, other stuff, well, not so much. My biggest writing idols and influences include J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert, and Ray Bradbury.
I never paid much attention to comic books as a kid, but as an adult, comics, graphic novels, manga, and anime now have a big appeal.
Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, (1st and 2nd editions), was a significant influence in my younger life. I still, play on a weekly basis with friends and family.
I am also a historical recreator. I participate in a group known as the Society for Creative Anachronism, in my home Kingdom of Atenveldt (aka Arizona). I am now ranked as a Peer of the Society, having been elevated to Master of the Pelican in February of 2017.
If at any time you have a question, please feel free to post it on this site. I would love to answer all of your questions!
The foundation of the story took a bit to establish and for me to get through, but once the true starting point began, the pace was steady, the storyline gripping, and the further the story went, the more immersed I became in the characters and their plight. By the end, I was completely in love with this book! Whatever your favorite genre is, I challenge that if you simply like a good story told well, genre preference doesn't matter. The story will grab you, and you will have an incredibly enjoyable time turning the pages. This is one of those stories! If you like high suspense, multiple arcs that roller coaster your emotions and imagination, and the all-around feel that heroes can emerge from the most unexpected places in the most unexpected ways, you will enjoy this book!

"The Champion of the Golden Queen" by Austin Belanger.
The story written so amazing. I liked how it hooks you from the beginning until the end. If you are a fan of "The Lord of the Rings" I think you should read it. The fights scenes were sooo tasty and great. Fantasy races written well, all the plot written well. Dragons makes me smile from happiness (I love dragons, I think everyone does 😁) Must read book. Waiting for second one. 5/5⭐
