About the author

Wendy Lord lives in Northern Maine with Lin, her husband of 44 years. She is the author of a series of children's first chapter books, Pickle Stew, Gorilla on the Midway, and Big Mouth, published in 1994.

Now, after raising kids and working for the benefit of migrant and seasonal farmworkers for years, she is back in the game with Garlic Queen for young adult readers.
