I grabbed this baby at the library, on a whim, because of the great pictures. I admit I skimmed through a lot of the text; but the purpose of the book is to look at before and after pictures of Israel. While most of the pictures were interesting and beautiful, it did get to a point where they seemed to blend together. A picture of a suburb in one area looked just like a picture of another. However, it did give me an overall understanding of the physical features of the country of Israel.
