All Through the Town

This is the classroom instruction book for kindergarten. The short , usually 4-6 page, stories are much more interesting that the Dick and Jane story books of previous days. Many of the stories focus on cats & dogs, a topic most all children enjoy. One of a series of books, this is an excellent early reader book.

I got this in a recent donation and I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. I had this as a textbook as a child and I loved it. I was one of those weird kids who loved worksheets and workbooks and all reading and reading-related tasks.

This book was great. It had lots of stories and poems.

One of the stories in this book was about a dog named Bingo. Whenever the farmer said "come here you naughty dog," Bingo would do one more naughty thing. After the farmer is tired of trying to catch the dog, he builds the dog a dog run with a doghouse also.

I liked these stories a lot. They were so funny.
