February 8, 2009I bought this book nearly 20 years ago. Read it once and put it away on the shelf. I think often about the things Gordon Jackson said regarding finding "the self" or how all those other folks seemed to be able to connect with something big and big-spirited regardless of belief system.
I take Jackson's work to be a study on how folks come to find an inner peace or a centering experience of which they had been missing.
Gordon E. Jackson and Phyllisee Foust Jackson did a good job providing current day insight into the needs of many who simply have the desire and courage to believe in something collectively very huge for the benefit of many.
