ROGER WRITES SCIENCE-FICTION FOR THE BORED SCIENCE-FICTION READER.

Roger Colby is an avid reader of the works of Robert Heinlein, Philip K. Dick, Ursula K. LeGuin, and Orson Scott Card. He is also a fan of Peter Clines, Earnest Cline and many other contemporary science-fiction authors.

The driving force behind Roger's writing is the desire to write science-fiction that is designed to excite the imagination and to make the reader think about the larger context created by intricately laid thematic frameworks. His books have messages, mainly for the betterment of mankind and the understanding that stories are simply vehicles for ideas. Those ideas should at their core be positive, but realistic.

Born in Oklahoma City, OK, Roger is a child of the 80's and 90's, a writer who understands the unique landscape in which he creates his works of fiction. He went to high school at Little Axe, a small rural school east of Norman, OK, where he returned to teach writing and has done so for over 20 years.

Roger enjoys writing fiction, creating strange worlds in the vein of Rod Serling's "Twilight Zone", some of them like the space operas of Robert Heinlein, or the mind-bending oddness of a Philip K. Dick story. He doesn't drop acid, though.

Roger lives in Norman, OK with his wife and four children, several dogs and cats, a horse named Sunny and somehow still finds time to churn out excellent science-fiction.
