He contributed wildlife paintings to a variety of magazines such as 'Look and Learn' and 'Treasure'.
In addition he wrote, and illustrated, a number of natural history books himself such as 'Some Birds and Mammals of the Woodland', 'Some Birds and Mammals of the Field and Hedgerow' and 'Some Mammals of the Riverbank' - all of those three for The Medici Society.
He was married with two daughters and a son.
