This book is utterly unreadable. I'm angry it was assigned reading for a class. Eurocentric hogwash. Don't bother with this garbage.

So inspiring to read about the early pioneers of leisure and recreation. Each chapter had a brief summary of a pioneer's life and/or most noteworthy works and many prompted me to look up additional information online.
