Just like to share with you this review from another author as it appears on Amazon:
Lucian Bane 5.0 out of 5 stars I Was Expecting.... Not This Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2015 Verified Purchase
I'd like to start by saying I ACCIDENTALLY found this book when I was looking at reviews for a sinus rinse, lol. This author had the audacity to give the sinus rinse 5 star rating while giving his name AND BOOK TITLE to this very book. As a writer myself, I know of this tactic and don't approve, but to say the tactic doesn't work would mean I wouldn't be here writing an honest review of this book and what I think about his 9 step program.
FIRST, I'll let you know that I was interested only in getting to the 9-step jive this book offered, and it was only due to some of the reviews that I even clicked it (isn't a cheap read but I think it's a fair price for what you get).
To me, there are a few things that make a book like this good.
1. The writer gets to the point fairly quickly. 2. They have a valid point. 3. It's engaging enough to keep me awake.
Mr. Amir fulfills all 3 of the above.
Now, on to what the author did in this book that truly impressed me. Another 1,2,3 account.
1. Mr. Amir uses himself as the first patient to his own technique.
2. The man's storytelling, while being narrative and direct, was so engaging and well done that in a very short time, I was rooting for him like one might a hero in a fictional book. It's very well written in my opinion because of that. His personal journey had me laughing out loud one minute then cursing the professionals who'd made his life worse, then to crying, (yes, I know) at how his journey with pain took a toll on his life and family.
3. The man in the story (the author) is just... GENUINE! You'd think that genuine wouldn't get us very far in pain management but think again. True empathy and compassion, I feel, is the main key in proper diagnosing any problem. You have to LISTEN to them as a person, not just a professional. And listening to him tell his story in all his compassion and empathy made me want to reach through the pages and pat him on the back, MAYBE even hug him as he lived out many wrong diagnoses and discovered something that was right for him. Something that worked for him, applied to him.
BIG QUESTION!
Does what he teaches in this book work?
BIG ANSWER: Yes, to those it applies to. His method certainly can and does work if your symptoms fit the diagnosis. No, you don't have to be crazy to suffer this issue, and no, he's not saying you're imagining all your pain. Honestly, I think we can find a little something for each of us in varying degrees in this book.
The only way to know if, and what, and how much applies to you is to journey through the symptoms and the diagnosis with the author and decide for yourself. Only you are qualified to do that and I think you should. But those dealing with any kind of pain have nothing to lose and I think they should give it a shot.
And that is my review for Rapid Recovery from Back and Neck Pain.
*Standing and applauding the author for a great job*
