48 pages. National Parks series of True Books. This is a well-written book about a famous park in the southern California. It has gorgeous pictures, tons of well-designed pages of facts. The wildlife sections are great and even show the paw prints of native animals. There are graphs, charts and maps to help readers. There is a glossary, index and table of contents. Students will enjoy reading this whole series and be inspired to plan a trip with their family. I was especially loving the pictures of the Joshua trees. Highly recommended for Grades 4-5.

This is non-fiction book for kids between the ages of 6 and 7. This book shares the history of Joshua Tree national park while introducing new vocabular words that related to both science and history. It is a good read for a History lesson into national parks. This book should be shelved with books relating to National parks or history.

Fascinating and fun park, interesting to learn about.
A book I wish I read before I visited. Hope to visit again.
