This book is similar to the first one, “Ain’t God Good!”. Those who remember the late entertainer or are fans of his comedy will probably enjoy the book. I knew of him only through the commercials for an album of his that was sold on TV in the 1990s and a few references in country music. There are a few chuckles here and there, but unless you’re a fan already, “Let The Hammer Down!” probably won’t leave much of an impression.
