9-11 2.0: Fool Me Once ...

Rate this book
Tired of Big Government, Big Pharma, Big Tela-Com, and other parasites? Join this band of rebels struggling for change -- ultimately, for the benefit all Americans.
Robert Revere, desperate to save his dying wife joins his college-age son, Brandon, and his roommate, Dylan -- an anti-establishment computer genius -- in a series of bold displays aimed at the U.S. government and a corrupt drug company. They don't blow anything up, or kill anybody -- yet they certainly could. Within days, millions of people are rooting for our heroes on their new website -- The Anger Express. Soon, globalists blame our patriotic reformers, for a second 9/11 style event, and revoke the personal liberty of Americans forever. The story, while written to entertain -- may provoke an enlightened awareness in the reader. It spotlights the reality of living under a Big Government / Big-Corporate iron fist. An enjoyable read -- that could happen tomorrow.

305 page political thriller. This is a thought provoking thrill ride delving into a man’s desperate attempts to get his wife the medication she needs for a terminal illness.

Although this is a work of fiction, there are a couple of topics that are not in the least fictional. The greed and corruption in the pharmaceutical industry is well known, which is why so many people attempt to get their medication from out of the country but less known is the manipulation of the mind by the mainstream media, which Mr. Lake’s characters refer to as the Lame Stream media.

The characters in this novel are well defined, easy to relate to and likable. The story flows evenly and the suspense builds steadily. Good read.

Heavy handed political commentary. Even though I agree with some points the author makes, it distracted from the plot. At times the storyline was intriguing, but too often it was more about the author or character's opinion.
I did feel like the climax of the plot was the best part.
