On top of that, the victim, a member of Savannah Architectural Society, also known as "SAS," had been sent to the property to discuss possible construction violations. The other members of SAS are convinced the Garlucci family murdered one of their own while Carlita is convinced that someone is trying to frame them. Can the mother / daughter duo figure out who the real killer is, or will the police dig into Carlita's past and discover that she has her own share of secrets she's trying desperately to leave behind? Book 3-Justice in Savannah Carlita and Mercedes Garlucci have settled into their new life in Savannah and are eager to get their rental units occupied as well as their other businesses up and running, but the local permit officials are dragging their feet with delay after delay. When Mercedes decides to help move things along by organizing a protest for justice in front of the local government offices, things go from bad to worse as one by one, all of the protesters become targets of vandals.

Clean cozy mystery
Carlita Garlucci strives to free her family from their mob connections as she promised her husband on his death bed. She found a dead to a property in Savannah and moved their with her daughter Mercedes and promptly entered into a different life, strange and wonderful and at times frightening.

New Start
I thoroughly enjoyed these books and could hardly put them down. Often reading much longer than I intended to. After he death of her mafia husband, Carlita finds a deed to a property in Savannah Georgia, in a safety deposit box with her name on it. As she had promised her husband to get her family out of New York and the "business", Carlita and her daughter, Mercedes, go down to check out the property. The property needed a lot of renovations to make it liveable, but would also provide income when it was finished. After cleamjng up some messes left by her husband, the two women sell their home in New York and moved to Savannaah. Their presence was not welcomed by all, nor was their proposed businesses. Over the three books they had to contend with a murder, vandalism and unpleasant tenants, but they find that they love their new home.

Great cozy mystery series!!
This box set is a great start to a great cozy mystery set by one of my favorite cozy mystery authors!

Before she knows it, she sells her house in NY and moved to Savannah with her daughter. Liked book despite the mob background
I started this series because of the Savannah background which is my city. I liked Hope's other cruise and garden girls. I do not like the mafia connection and was surprised by but as the other series include prayer at every turn. Despite this MS Callaghan writes interesting stories. I am disappointed she changed the names if alk the square scans downtown streets. The exception is Morrell Park. I understand changing the area name where the characters live but changing the rest makes no sense. And Savannah Hampton Police etc. Just call it Savannah Police.

If you want a fun series, the Made in Savannah series is the one for you. Considering it is about a mafia family, it is funny, endearing, and will draw you in. Carlita Garlucci will do anything to protect her family, and her family is just as loyal to her. There are the weirdest characters thrown in and the description of the city of Savannah makes me want to move there. I love this series and will read it again and again. I recommend it highly!

Fun
I love this series. I've read them all a few times. And it's still fun to read them again. I like that there are quirky characters. And I like, well, a lot of things about this book. How Carlita and her daughter start over in a new place, how they make the most of their situation, to name few. I like that there's humor. etc.

Savannah through another's eyes
Reading about familiar places in a beloved city has me hooked! The plots are funny with the right amount of mystery to keep one turning page after page.

Great mom n daughter duo.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this series. Lovely and amusing. Starting over is never easy, moving away from families is painful, but the Garlucci women are strong and smart. With the help of their new friends, they solved the problem in their way.

I have read the first 4 books in this series. This is a great series. The books are a quick read and very good. You keep reading to see what happens next. These books are fun and mysterious allay the same time. I hope everyone will enjoy them as much as I have.

FUN & INTERESTING!
Love this Series from Hope Callaghan. Since it is set in Savannah, GA, it contains references to Southern customs! Being from TN, I love the adventure of Carlotta & her daughter getting used to the culture shock coming from NYC!

Good characters
I really liked the people, even though they came from a mafia family. What I didn't enjoy was the overwhelming number of problems.
