This is really not a stand-alone book, but is designed to be used in concert with hands-on training. As such, is really lacks value as something to simply read and study. The book was marred in places by typos and other editorial/proofreading errors. Keep in mind that it centers on military tactics, and thus would not be applicable to all but the most unusual civilian situations.

An interesting and clearly written (perhaps there are are too many acronyms) explanation of basic infantry tactics. I enjoyed it thoroughly until the Annex pages which became nothing more than advertisements for the author's physical training programs. That worried me a little. He seemed to care only for 'the warrior spirit' and not the motives of individuals who take his training courses.
