We both know it's forbidden but the course of true love never did run smooth!
Dr. Oliver Foxx is living the dream. A successful career, plenty of women, abundant wealth but still far from settling down.
Louise Wilder is an ambitious young medical trainee who has no intention of trading anything in her career even if that’s love. Not even when she’s assigned to shadow the handsome, Oliver Foxx or the famous DR. Delight. But little did she realize that her training program is going to be far more challenging for reasons she didn’t consider.
Things soon get complicated when sparks fly between the two and even more when they both try to forget each other.
How the hell are they gonna get out of this alive? Will either of them be able to fight it forever?
You'll love Oliver and Louise's story. This was a great book that caught my attention right at the beginning and I couldn't put it down. This book is a standalone with no cliffhanger and a happy ever after. He is the consummate playboy and has no interest in settling down. She's brilliant and has no close friends because she concentrated on school and finishing early. The chemistry between the two is strong but they don't act on it since hospital relationships are taboo. Mia did a great job with this book and the story line was engaging. The characters were likable and well developed but it took me a while to warm up to Oliver since he was inappropriate with his female patients. Louise has one wild drunken night that changes her life forever. She became upset after seeing him in a compromising position with a patient. The age difference is wide in that she's 22 and he's 39 but love knows no age gap. The story takes a sweet turn as their love develops. Can't say more without being a spoiler. I read a free copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review. Dr Delight well not what I expected but really enjoyed reading. Louise quick minded but has trouble talking with people but when it comes to patients she is a different person. Louise is young and is a fast leaner and graduates before her time. Oliver just about hiting forty and a ladies man plays the field well even with his patients that is until he gets an intern to shadow him. When they start working together sparks start to fly but never act on it until Louise world just about comes crashing down on her and Dr Delight comes to the rescue
I adored this story and the characters. The character development was believable as well as the way the story progressed. A few things stood out to me though, like the overwhelming age difference between Oliver and Louise. The whole older man, younger woman thing seems to be a little overused. Also, I think in the beginning of this story, Oliver was a little on the douche side, however, you do grow to really like him as the storyline develops. I would still recommend this book as I do enjoy Mia’s stories. Just not one of my favorites. I received this as an ARC in return for my honest review.
I really enjoy Mia Ford’s books, and although I was a little wary at the doctor - patient interaction at the start of the book, for me this story got stronger and stronger as it went on. The main characters shown their vulnerabilities and their respect and love for each other. There might not have been a dramatic plot twist, but rather a growing crescendo of love from a commitment-phobe and a naive and shelter young lady.
This was a sweet and unexpectedly romantic love story.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Dr Delight is a full on will they won’t they Story, we follow Oliver and Louise older man younger woman and while the chemistry is hot between them they both know they have to fight what they feel. I really enjoyed the story turning each page to find out what was going to happen would they give into temptation. Mia ford really knows how to give us amazing stories with some much romance, love, alpha men and strong women. I really liked how the story flowed learning more about the characters and think.
Louise is about to start shadowing another Dr. She's trained hard to get where she is today. She's the youngest trainee in the programme.
Oliver is a Gynecologist and known as the best in his field. Is that for his skills as a doctor or something else. There is alot of emotions in this book, crossed wires and a blossoming friendship. Can the past stay there?
Brilliant story Mia and Brenda, I really enjoyed Oliver and Louise story from start to the end. Cant say mush without give you spoilers. so you just have grab the book when its released. Its a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy
Lots and lots of chemistry and steam. A fun story, that reads easily. An entertaining plot and likable characters help create a book that is a very enjoyable read. I'm posting a totally honest, voluntary review after reading this book.
Oh Mia, what were you thinking when you wrote Dr Delight? I’m so disappointed that you felt something like this could be welcomed. The storyline is below your normally high standards; characters resembled cardboard caricatures; plot twists were weak; and the HEA...weak. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and found it very disappointing.)
The story of Oliver and Louise kept me entertained from the very beginning. There were plenty of twists in the story and it was not your run of the mill romance tale. There were all the emotions you could want from love to despair to guilt to sweetness and hope. Highly recommend as it also contains internal growth and development from the beginning all the way through.
I liked the book, but some of the story just don't agree with life. Oliver is the top doctor in his field, but he has plenty of women and steps over boundary's. Louise is a medical trainee, and is put under Dr. Foxx. Sparks fly, but they know they can't act on it. Things are getting complicate, what will they do? Can they keep ignoring each other or will they go past student and teacher? What about age?

AN ABSOLUTE JOY TO READ!!! Wonderfully written, easy to follow, smooth flowing page turner you can't put down. With characters and their personalities, scenes and location detail so realistic you can almost feel the heat. Twists and turns and surprises around every corner I was so immersed in the story, my eyes focused only on the pages. I couldn't tear myself away until the end. I would love to know where the Ford's got their inspiration. It was an exceptional job to bring this read to life.

Whilst I was reading this novel I was convinced that it must have been this authors first attempt at writing, so was totally surprised come the end of the book to a list of all her other works. To be honest the experience she should have gained is not showing up in this novel. Editing had not taken place in quite a few places. Louise's character came across how a 22 yr old would think and act, but Oliver, for his 39 years behaved like a teenager, even though he was meant to be a well heeled and respected doctor. Scenario's were put in place, then dropped, so holes in the story remain. Sorry Mia & Brenda (authors) but you need to do some tweaking to make this a good read.
We meet Louise in this story who is an orphan and has had a troubled life - especially since she was years ahead of her classmates s she graduated from high school early and , now doing a medical degree, is years younger than the rest in her year. On her preferred course, she is assigned to follow the older Dr Oliver Foxx. Now Oliver has charm oozing from every part of him, he does not want a relationship as he can have any woman he wants, has plenty of money and is happy in his playboy lifestyle. Louise is a stunning young woman of 22 years old whilst Oliver is 39 years old so there is a big age gap but that doesn't stop them being wildly attracted to one another although they know that they have to fight it as a relationship between them would be classified as taboo and he would lose his job and she would fail her course. Because Louise's classmates don't talk to her very much she feels lonely and meets a friend in the receptionist and when she goes back to Oliver's room early she finds him in a compromising position with a female patient [he's sent Louise off so he could deal with his sexual frustration at not being able to act upon his carnal desires for her. Louise doesn't let on that she knows what he was doing but she behaves very frosty towards him and he can't understand what's wrong. She goes out with her new friend and gets drunk as she is so upset with Oliver, little realising that she has set in motion something that will change her whole life. Mia Ford and Brenda Ford have written an amazing storyline here that I didn't want to put down [well maybe when Louise caught Oliver with a female patient which was SO WRONG] but I read on and I'm so very pleased that I did !! The scenes between Oliver and Louise just get better and better especially when she is ill and he examines her and they discover what is wrong. Oliver feels extremely guilty about Louise going to that party with her friend as he feels it was his fault and he does everything, and more, that he can to help her. For the first time he realises how good it feels to have a female friend. Some female that cares for him and having a relationship with one that means the whole world to him. It's at this part of the story that it became so easy to love Oliver. As they have to be careful of people finding out about them, makes them appreciate even more how they feel for one another, even if Oliver still finds it difficult to say the words. These two lonely people, despite their age differences they find what they didn't know they wanted in another person. Such a romantic story and beautifully written by Mia and Brenda and the bonus story, Billionaire Next Door is a fantastic read too.
Whilst I did receive a reader's copy and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here, I subsequently bought my own copy as I loved it so much!
Wow Mia! What an interesting take on romance. A very entertaining story full of decision-making and backbone. A page turner romance that will have your mind twisted up.
Doctor Oliver Foxx is a playboy of the highest order. With paitents that only want his services. ;) He will never settle down or fall in love. Life is perfect. Louise is studying to be a doctor. She is the youngest of her group and works hard. She is lonely and withdrawn because no one wants to talk to the smart girl. They are intimidated by her. When she has to do job shadowing for school she is on edge and nervous as hell. The feeling only gets worse when she meets Dr Foxx, the doctor she will be shadowing. He is the absolute most handsome and sexy man she has ever met.
When Oliver calls out the person knocking on his door he is not ready for what he finds. The most amazing and gorgeous red-head walks in. This is Louise? This is the woman I have to train? Keeping his hands to himself will be a challenge.
Oliver notices that Louise is a loner. No one tries to talk to or befriend her. So Oliver makes it his mission to befriend her. When Louise finds herself in a pickle, Oliver steps up to help. Can Oliver be just friends?
This book was a very interesting read. Oliver starts out as a player with no scruples just rules. No kissing and no relationships. But he is an honorable man in the end. Louise is shy and timid, but a strong and independent woman. She really has some struggles and hurdles to overcome in this story that reflect her strength.
This is a fast paced read that flows smoothly and has a different twist to your everyday romance. With engaging characters and twisted plot this book will keep you entertained. Another good book from Mia! Bravo!

Oliver Foxx is a playboy doctor and loves the risk of possibly getting caught messing around during office hours. Louise is studying to become a doctor and she is the youngest in her group of trainees shadowing doctors at the hospital. When she sees Oliver is the doctor that she's shadowing its hard because she's attracted to him. Oliver can't keep his eyes off his new trainee unable to focus he send her off to lunch on her own and takes an appointment to deal with his frustration. When Louise came back from lunch early the last thing she expected was to see Oliver and a patient dressing in an exam room. Oliver couldn't get over how cool Louise had gotten with him and was worried that she may have caught him in a compromising way. Louise is trying to get over her crush on Oliver and ends up sleeping with a stranger at a party. When Louise gets caught up in a situation will Oliver offer to help or will he disappear into the background?
This is an incredible story and is very well written. There's a little twist that will keep you turning pages to find out what will happen next. The chemistry between Oliver and Louise sizzles with every turned page. I would recommend this book to all of my book friends.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy
This is a story about an older man, Oliver and a younger woman, Louise. Oliver has decided to be a playboy who has hook ups with his patients as a gynecologist thinking he is happy with his life. Louise is in training while shadowing Oliver to become a doctor. She has not had an easy life and has no one to depend on and has skipped grades due to her ability to learn faster than others. The attraction between them starts once they see each other and know they can not act on it as they work together and their age difference. Louise let herself have fun one night and now has a secret she is trying to keep from Oliver but he knows how to read her and it’s impossible to hide anything from him! They end up friends while fighting their attraction. There is heartache for Louise at every turn and it’s nice to see how Oliver steps up to help her along the way. Can these two ever overcome the many obstacles in front of them and become more then friends? This story shows how love can change your life and your decisions you make help you to become a better and mature person! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Oliver Fox is very happy being a dedicated womanizer. As he celebrates his 39th birthday, he truly enjoys his life and sees no changes in store. Then he meets Louise Wilter, his new trainee. She’’s someone he should definitely stay away from: very young, naive and she’s his trainee! She’s also gorgeous, intelligent and determined to be successful. Due to her dedication to her career, Louise is a bit inexperienced and naive about men. She’s been determined to become a good doctor and hasn’t had much time for relationships or had very many friends. Oliver knocks her over with his good looks and medical expertise, but he’s her supervising doctor and, she learns, a major player. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC. I enjoyed parts of this story, but Oliver was was a bit too messed up for me to like him. He was so back and forth that when he finally made a decision about his feelings, I was irritated. I usually enjoy books by this author and while I didn’t dislike it, it wasn’t my favorite by a long chalk.
Can an gynecologist who isn’t opposed to giving his patients extra special treatment, capable of changing his man-whoring ways after meeting his new trainee? This is a story about Oliver and Louise. Oliver is the gynecologist and Louise is a hard working Medical trainee that when at first meeting are attracted to each other but they keep it to themselves. This book is written in both Louise’s and Oliver’s point of view. It opens in Oliver’s point of view on his 39th birthday. The chapter’s switch between both points of view with Louise following right behind Oliver’s all through out the book, and the. The book ends just like it begins with Oliver’s point of view. In the story we see the attraction leads to bad decisions, which lends itself to friendship, back to acknowledged attraction to a deep loved. This is a brilliantly written story by Mia Ford and Brenda Ford. If you like either author, the. This is a MUST read for you.

This strangely different story about Louis, a 21 year old trainee to become a doctor and Dr. Oliver Foxx, the handsome 39 year old male who she has been assigned to. He’s the kind of man who has never had a true relationship, purely after a sexual encounter without kissing. Louise is emotionally stunted, without family and having obtained her position at such a young age. As these two encounter a ‘friendship’ that builds and builds, they wind up falling in love. Sometimes the dialogue seemed almost juvenile, and Dr. Foxx’s past sexual encounters with his patients seem obviously inappropriate, I still enjoyed the book. I would have enjoyed it even more had there been better editing. Having Oliver ask Louise to go out for a “dink” rather than a drink, had me laughing so hard as I read that aloud several times!
This book brings us Dr. Oliver Foxx and Louise Wilder. Dr. Foxx is a gynecologist, and a man whore. He thinks that it's ok to even have sex with his patients. Louise Wilder is a medical trainee and is assigned to work under Dr. Foxx. She is immediately smitten with Dr. Foxx and he is taken back with her beauty. Louise is very timid, but is a hard worker. She finds out about his "attention" to his patients and she appalled. That doesn't however, mean that they won't get together. There is something about Louise that Dr. Foxx can't stay away from. When Louise does something foolish, Dr. Foxx is there to help her with her situation. It was so nice to see how caring he became, and he actually became a man who Louise could trust and eventually fall in love with. This was a great read and I HIGHLY recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
Dr. Delight was a lot of things. He bent the rules for his own gains. When he met Louise, let’s just say his actions caused him his first chance to get with her. Tension between them was visible to everyone around them. When Louise makes and appointment to see a doctor. Oliver moves her name to his list and gets the shock of his life. Things are not easy for these two, but they’ll keep you entertain until they realize that what they feel for each other was love all along. Oliver steps up when Louise’s apartment building is sold. Giving her a place to stay until she can get back up on her feet. He’s there when she needs him the most. There road to happiness is not smooth. It has more bumps than you can imagine. Travel this twisted tale as two souls finally open up and embrace their future.

You can't help who you love, and it isn't always convenient. Louise is brilliant, and that level of intelligence has helped make her a little lonely. Brains are intimidating. As a medical school trainer at 21, she is smart and beautiful. The doctor she shadows, Oliver, is also smart and handsome. Not a great combination as they're meant to keep things purely professional. The chemistry is off the charts, and the better they come to know one another, the stronger the pull. An exciting and sexy read as we watch them try to navigate a very tricky situation. The best part is, the heart in this book is strong and unforgettable. Great writing and excellent characters. A very highly recommended read for sure. A very well written romance with a great storyline and plot. It has characters that are likeable and develops nicely through the story. They are well described and has a lot of hot chemistry and passion between them. I felt that this story could have been taken place in the real world. It felt believable and the writing style gave an edge to it.
The story is written in dual POV, which gives the reader a lot more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That gives the story a new dimension and a better view of the issues.
Another story with an older mand and younger woman with a slightly bigger agegap that normally, but somehow it feels okay in this story. The 18 years does not matter because she is old in mind and he is young minded.
This is Oliver and Louise's story. Louise is a 21 year old trainee in medical school. She is very intelligent and has skipped several grades in school. Because of her intelligence she doesn't fit in with her peers so she feels isolated and alone. Oliver is the doctor that she will be shadowing. He is a 39 year old playboy who has no plans to settle down. When these two meet sparks fly but because of their circumstances they fight their attraction. This was a well written story with well developed characters. There are plenty of twists in the story that will keep you interested and turning the pages. I voluntarily received an advance arc copy for an honest review.
Oliver is a hands on doctor that have a select clients that doesn’t mind his close and personal treatment. Louise finds herself in a particular situation when she lets her good judgement out of the door. She is thorn on what to do and when her feelings factor in makes it more difficult. I originally didn’t think that these two characters would work but as the story progress, I see that Louise character needed an older, seasoned character like Oliver. She blossoms as their chemistry heat up, but it’s not without difficulty and that made for an enjoyable and entertaining read.
Mia Ford is an amazing author and she has proven it once again with "Dr. Delight". Dr. Oliver Fox is a wealthy, successful, playboy and a gynecologist. Louise Wilder is a very young, ambitious intern who has been assigned to shadow Dr. Fox. They have an explosive chemistry that is difficult to deny. Knowing that any relationship except a professional one is taboo Oliver and Louise try to fight their attraction. Things become complicated when this decision causes more problems. “Dr. Delight" is a wonderfully written romance that I enjoyed from the first page to the last. Give it a try. It is definitely a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I had fun with this book from Mia Ford. She really brought the emotional connection and entanglements to the forefront of the book which made it that much better for me. An inappropriate crush, a secret baby, friends, lovers, passion and love. All together to make a riveting story that I could not walk away from. Loved it.
