The book is now 26 years old. It documents early computer system developments and details not found in more recent publications, and therefore, should be on computer historians, tech geeks and software nerds' reading lists.
I recorded this documentary series on VHS when it aired and when VHS went the way of the Dinosaur I converted them to AVI and uploaded them to a torrent site so to spread them around amongst Vintage Computer enthusiasts as I and anyone taking an interest in the history of Computers. If You do a search (I tested) You are able to find the 5 episodes in a decent quality... They are on YouTube as well for those who just want to watch (just keep an eye out that you have the full episodes)... All in all one if not the best documentary about the Computers early history one can watch... And this book is an even great read and add to your book collection. Highly Recommended. I really enjoyed the TV series. Bought the book and lent it to friend who forgot to return it. I bought a second copy. Beautifully presented hardback full of interest for me as I lived through this period and worked with computers.
