Aiming to present all sides of this controversial issue in an unbiased fashion, this reference discusses the history of the death penalty in the United States from the 1970s to the present. The volume includes a summary of the current policy debate; state-by- state and federal statistics; the individuals and organizations involved in policy developments; and a discussion of the international implications of capital punishment. Goldman is pursuing a joint degree in law and public policy at the U. of Michigan.
